Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer with strong expertise in trading, low-latency systems, or high-frequency trading (HFT). The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize backend components powering real-time trading systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend microservices and real-time trading components using Python.
• Build low-latency, high-throughput systems optimized for trading workflows.
• Integrate with market data feeds, order management systems, APIs, and broker/exchange interfaces.
• Write clean, scalable, and high-performance code with a focus on reliability and fault tolerance.
• Work closely with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver robust and scalable platforms.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance.
• Ensure system security, stability, and compliance with industry standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of backend development experience with Python.
• Strong experience in trading/HFT/fintech/market infrastructure is mandatory.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Experience working with multithreading, multiprocessing, asynchronous programming.
• Strong knowledge of API development (REST, WebSockets).
• Experience with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL/MySQL, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience building low-latency and high-availability systems.
• Familiarity with Linux systems, shell scripting, and performance profiling.
• Exposure to FIX protocol, OMS, RMS, or market data systems is a plus.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of exchange trading mechanisms and order lifecycles.
• Prior experience in broker terminals, algo systems, or risk engines.

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Manager- Insurance

• Preferably experience of Life & Non-Life Insurance products from Insurance Broking Company/Banca Insurance/Insurance Company.
• Candidate should have cleared Insurance Broking Exam (Optional), if not then after joining he/she will have to clear the exam on top most priority.
• Sound knowledge of Life/Non-Life Insurance products (Health, Motor, PA).

Carsome’s Data Department is on the lookout for a Data Scientist/Senior Data Scientist who has a strong passion in building data powered products.

Data Science function under the Data Department has a responsibility for standardisation of methods, mentoring team of data science resources/interns, including code libraries and documentation, quality assurance of outputs, modeling techniques and statistics, leveraging a variety of technologies, open-source languages, and cloud computing platform. 

You will get to lead & implement projects such as price optimization/prediction, enabling iconic personalization experiences for our customer, inventory optimization etc.

Job Descriptions

• Identifying and integrating datasets that can be leveraged through our product and work closely with data engineering team to develop data products.
• Execute analytical experiments methodically to help solve various problems and make a true impact across functions such as operations, finance, logistics, marketing. 
• Identify, prioritize, and design testing opportunities that will inform algorithm enhancements. 
• Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data and error analysis to improve models and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy.
• Unlock insights by analyzing large amounts of complex website traffic and transactional data. 
• Implement analytical models into production by collaborating with data analytics engineers.

Technical Requirements

• Expertise in model design, training, evaluation, and implementation ML Algorithm expertise K-nearest neighbors, Random Forests, Naive Bayes, Regression Models. PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, deep learning expertise, tSNE, gradient boosting expertise, regression implementation expertise, Python, Pyspark, SQL, R, AWS Sagemaker /personalize etc.
• Machine Learning / Data Science Certification

Experience & Education 

• Bachelor’s in Engineering / Master’s in Data Science  / Postgraduate Certificate in Data Science. 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

· Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology Engineering (computer/telecommunications)

· Must have at least 5 years of extensive experience in Object-oriented programming specifically on JAVA/J2EE

· Has knowledge or relevant work experience in any of the following programming languages or technologies: Java/J2EE, C++, C, XML/XHTML or CGI-Python.

· Must have sufficient knowledge of Object-oriented programming concepts

·Be an excellent team player in a different culture, display the ability to learn in a short time and work under pressure.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develops and enhances software applications through coding and testing.

· Involved in code reviews and training.

· Delivers the highest quality software by creating unit test plans and testing code thoroughly. Implements solutions as designed in technical documentation specification and coding standards.

· Creates project documentation and coordinates technical issues.

· Knows the business rules and concepts, software specifications and designs provided by the technical lead and applies them in completing the assigned task.

 What you need to have:

• Must have very strong concepts of Software development process
• Must have hands-on and training experience on Core Java 8, Advance Java, Java Script, HTML, CSS, Web Architecture, Database Storage, HTTP & Rest
• C# & C++ or any backend language like Python preferred
• 2 to 6 years of experience in imparting technical training/ mentoring
• Should be good in Operating systems GNU/Linux, Network fundamentals,
• Must have knowledge on MS office (Excel/ Word/ PowerPoint)
• Must have knowledge on NetBeans/ Eclipse or any other IDE.
• Should have knowledge on any of the Unit Testing tools.
• Self-Motivated and passionate about technology
• Excellent analytical and logical skills and team player                          
• Must have exceptional Communication Skills/ Presentation Skills
• Good Aptitude skills is preferred
