About the Role

OLX India is looking for a proactive and technically strong Security Engineer to help strengthen the organization’s security posture across cloud infrastructure, applications, networks, and internal systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in security engineering, vulnerability management, and penetration testing in modern cloud-native environments.

You will work closely with Engineering, DevOps, Product, and Compliance teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable security controls while enabling fast and secure product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise security solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing for Web, Mobile and APIs and help remediate the issues.
• Implement and improve security controls for AWS/GCP infrastructure, Kubernetes, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security best practices into the SDLC and DevSecOps processes.
• Perform security reviews for new features, infrastructure changes, and third-party integrations.
• Develop and maintain security automation scripts, tooling, and dashboards.
• Support compliance initiatives such as ISO 27001,DPDP and internal security audits.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or DevSecOps roles.
• Strong understanding of cloud security concepts.
• Proven expertise in web and mobile security architecture, frameworks, and testing methodologies (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure Cloud Environment.
• Knowledge of Container and Kubernetes security practices.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools
• Experience with scripting/automation using Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience working with bug bounty programs or vulnerability disclosure platforms is a strong plus.
• Ability to lead security reviews, influence engineering teams is highly valued

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, AWS Security Specialty, or GIAC would be an added advantage.
• Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or consumer internet companies is a plus.
• Exposure to DevSecOps tooling and Infrastructure as Code security.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and modern authentication mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate must have hands-on testing experience on any web application (Any Architecture) and should have in-depth knowledge on the architecture of current/previous projects.
• The successful candidate must have hands-on testing experience on testing UI / Front End on different configurations of browsers.
• The successful candidate must have excellent knowledge on Testing Methodologies & defect Management systems
• The successful candidate must have Good knowledge on CRM domain
• The successful candidate will need to work closely with other teams in IT including Business Solution Analyst, Engineering & Release Management,
• The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with other engineers and project stakeholders on the test case Sign off, test case execution and test reporting of solutions and integrations.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for functional, integration and system testing the integrations using the appropriate technology/tools. They will work closely with the Engineering team to validate their integration, and with Operations to investigate, troubleshoot, and address production issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 5 + years Experience in Web Application Testing on multiple configurations of browsers
• Knowledge of Database (any) and ability to write SELECT queries with ease.
• Experience on testing web services is an advantage.
• Proven track record of designing test plans and test cases and executing the integration projects on the Force.com platform
• Adhere to STLC standards.
• Excellent in communication skills & a good team player.
• Quality Certifications would be advantage.
• Knowledge of validating, and troubleshooting XML schemas.
• Knowledge on Performance / Security tools is an advantage.
• Experience with Test management tools (i.e JIRA), test automation (i.e QTP , Selenium) and defect tracking tools (JIRA)

Desirable Skills

• Prior experience with any marketing automation tool, such has Hubspot, Eloqua, Exact target, Adobe Campaign, Adobe MArketo will be a advantage.
• Hands on experience on OOB solution testing, Cloud Based testing
• Adobe Marketing cloud product knowledge
• Hands-on experience on testing workflow based applications with keen attention to integration between various systems.
• Hands on Experience on Automating web applications will be an advantage.
• Knowledge on any automation tool that can be used on CRM Applications is a desirable;

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.
• Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
• Take care of the Database design and implementation, including Patch Management and Version Control. Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
• Perform database/application tuning and performance monitoring.
• Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
• Plan growth and changes (capacity planning).
• Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required.
• Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development teams.
• Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.
• Analyse potential impact of problem resolution and take corrective measures when needed.
• Root Cause Analysis.

Education, Skills and Experience required:

• Engineering or Technical Degrees (BE/ B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech/ M.Sc / MCA)
• Minimum 4 years of relevant industry experience.
• Must have experience on multiple Hardware and Software Environments and be comfortable with complex heterogeneous systems environments.
• Must be an Oracle Certified Professional DBA (11g or above) with hands-on experience of RAC, RMAN.
• Good understanding of the Oracle database, related utilities and tools and underlying operating system.
• Excellent knowledge of the physical database design and all Oracle backup and recovery scenarios.
• Developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans. Data archival and space management.
• Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring.
• Good knowledge of Oracle security management and Oracle data integrity.
• Experience in code/data migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle.
• Sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning and implemented application systems.
• Should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Male candidates preferred as the role requires working in shifts.

Job Summary:

Required Qualification & Experience:
