Vijay Sales is seeking a creative and user-focused UX Designer to join our Product Development and Design team. Key Responsibilities:

• User Research:
• Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
• Analyze user feedback and data to inform design decisions.
• Create user personas, journey maps, and scenarios to guide design processes.

• Information Architecture:
• Develop and maintain information architecture for web and mobile applications.
• Create site maps, user flows, and navigation structures.

• Wireframing and Prototyping:
• Design low and high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes.
• Use tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and InVision.
• Iterate on designs based on feedback and usability testing.

• Interaction Design:
• Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
• Focus on usability, accessibility, and creating delightful user experiences.
• Ensure consistency and coherence across all digital touchpoints.

• Visual Design:
• Work to ensure the visual design aligns with the overall UX strategy.
• Apply principles of typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.

• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions.
• Communicate design ideas and prototypes to cross-functional teams effectively.

• Usability Testing:

• Documentation:
• Create and maintain comprehensive UX documentation including design specifications and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

• Experience:
• 2+ years of experience in UX design or a related role.
• Proven experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UX design projects and processes.

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and InVision.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.

• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site UI/UX Designer role located in Coimbatore. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for designing and implementing user interfaces and experiences that will allow users to interact effectively with our products and digital solutions. The UI/UX Designer will be required to work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to understand and translate requirements into intuitive and effective user interfaces and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
• Design graphics user interfaces elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
• Build page navigation buttons and search fields
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images

Requirements

• Portfolio of design projects (does not matter if the project is not live)
• Knowledge of Designing tools (e.g. Figma )
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
• Good time-management skills

Proven graphic designing experience - 

•  A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
•  Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Adobe XD, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
•  A keen eye for aesthetics and details
•  Excellent communication skills
•  Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
•  Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus

The individual will be the go-to person for developing concepts, graphics and creating an appropriate design language for the brands. Creating visual elements to deliver the communication efficiently and aesthetically pleasing manner would be needed the most.

•  Coordinate with the account managers to discuss the brand requirements.
•  Get a detailed brief to interpret the client’s needs and develop a creative concept that suits their purpose.
•  Creating drafts of design with the briefs available and through data research.
•  Presenting final output of creative concepts to the account managers.
•  Working with a wide range of media tools and software.
•  Working as a part of team with account leads, copy writers, technical dept. and of course the design team.
•  Updated with current fashion of design trends, application packages, visual arts, time limits and anything that impacts the design.
•  Creating design layouts and concepts as per layout principles and design concepts.
