About the Role:
You will contribute to our continually evolving HR platform by working as developer on the in-house product development team. It requires experience of working on HTML5, CSS, Javascript, MySQL, and Java (very important) in an agile environment. Mobile experience is a big plus. You will collaborate with locally based team members and remote Product/Project Managers and will contribute to the design and implementation of new features.
What Would You Do At Altres?
1. Translate software requirements into workable programming code.
2. Work with Team members, discuss technical solutions with them
3. Participate actively in scrum meetings
4. Conduct code reviews for peers.
5. Perform coding, get it reviewed by other members of the team.
6. Collaborate with Development, QA, and Product Management teams for implementation
7. Mentor team members and guide them when needed.
8. Ability to self-direct, work without supervision and balance multiple duties.
What Do You Need For The Job?
1. Strong technical background with good understanding of product development life cycle.
2. Expertise in full stack application design and development across all relevant form factors – smartphone, tablet, laptop, desktop, etc.
3. 7+ years of experience building web applications using J2EE (JSP, Servlets) and Core Java.
4. Detailed understanding of front-end Web application technologies like HTML5, Javascript, CSS.
5. Proficient in MySQL or another RDBMS variant with 2+ years of experience building and interfacing with the database.
6. Good know-how of modern frameworks.
7. Keen understanding of user experience and user interface design.
8. Familiarity with Agile software development processes including Scrum.
9. Experience with JIRA or similar issue & project tracking tool.

- Architects and design the organization’s digital product(s) from the ground up using modern tools, technologies (Core Java), frameworks (Spring), and systems.
- Build relationships throughout the organization to ensure whole-company alignment and support for their goals, and vice-versa.
- Apply a systematic application of scientific and technological knowledge, methods, and experience to the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of software.
- Work with IT Business Analysts, Technical Leads and Product Managers to effectively translate requirements into solutions that can be implemented by the software development teams across multiple locations.

- Occasional travel to Hawaii will be needed to collaborate with the technical team in the company Headquarters
What Do You Need For The Job?
As a potential candidate, you are expected to have the following skills (technical):
9+years’ experience required in:
- Lead architecting of authenticated multi-role enterprise web applications with a strong understanding of user flows and interactions
- Advanced ability to influence leadership
- Expert commination skills and ability to shift narrative to different stakeholders
- Technical skills required: Java, SQL DB, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery. ReactJs and Infrastructure Knowledge.
- Experience with Agile software and test-driven development, as well as the ability to find fulfillment in building innovative products a plus
- A clear IT Support Background, Testing background, and a solution design mindset is required.
- Prior experience of architecting software from a problem statement to a fully developed solution.
