About You: ● Education ranging from a Bachelor’s of Science degree in computer science or related engineering degree. ● 12+ years of high level API, abstraction layers, and application software development experience. ● 5+ years experience building scalable, serverless solutions in GCP or AWS ● 4+ years of experience in Python, MongoDB ● Experience with large-scale distributed systems and streaming data services. ● Experience building, developing, and maintaining cloud native infrastructure, serverless architecture, micro-operations, and workflow automation. ● You are a hardworking problem-solver who thrives in finding solutions to difficult technical challenges. ● Experience with modern high-level languages and databases including Javascript, MongoDB, and Python. ● Experience in Github, Gitlab, CI/CD, Jira, unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and collaborative documentation. ● Expertise with GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, or containerization, is a great plus. ● Ability to write and assess clean, functional, high quality and testable code for each of our projects. ● Positive and proactive, solution-focused contributor and team motivation.

In your role as Software Engineer/Lead, you will directly work with other developers, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to evaluate and develop innovative solutions. The purpose of the role is to design, develop, test, and operate a complex set of applications or platforms in the IoT Cloud area.

The role involves the utilization of advanced tools and analytical methods for gathering facts to develop solution scenarios. The job holder needs to be able to execute quality code, review code, and collaborate with other developers.

• A bachelor’s degree, or master’s degree in information technology, computer science, or other relevant education
• At least 5 years of experience as Software Engineer, in an enterprise context
• Experience in design, development and deployment of large-scale cloud-based applications and services
• Good knowledge in cloud (AWS) serverless application development, event driven architecture and SQL / No-SQL databases
• Experience with IoT products, backend services and design principles
• Good knowledge at least of one backend technology like node.js (JavaScript, TypeScript) or JVM (Java, Scala, Kotlin)
• Passionate about code quality, security and testing
• Microservice development experience with Java (Spring) is a plus
• Good command of English in both Oral & Written

About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer who has a knack for coming up with creative solutions to unique problems, planning development cycles and writing technical documentation while leading a team of developers. You should have experience with different design pattern implementation and be quick in making architectural decisions. You can get in where needed to write clean, reusable, and performant code, with creative sensibilities to push projects towards perfection. You should have good time management skills and be able to work both autonomously and collaboratively with a cross-discipline team of product managers, strategists, UX designers, art directors, and developers.

● Strong understanding of the full web technology stack (i.e. HTTP, caching, headers, cookies, etc)
● Proficiency in working with API’s and third party integrations
● Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies
● Experience with multi-tenant architectures (SaaS)
● Experience with Test Driven Development
● Excellent project and time management skills

Responsibilities

Design Develop and maintain web functionalities

Work with Tech Lead to propose a technical solution

Liaise with designer to implement the UI/UX elements for web and mobile interfaces

Troubleshoot production problems and provide user support.

Design and conduct tests:

Requirements

Degree in IT or equivalent

More than 3 years of web-based application development experience in PHP.

Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks: CodeIgniter, Laravel, Bootstrap, AngularJs, Angular Material, Symphony, Zend, Cake and Flask.

Languages

PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python.

Databases: MySql

Operating Systems: Ubuntu, Windows and Macintosh.

Mandatory:

Understands web trends, including social media integration and the impact of the growth of mobile/tablet browsing

More than 3 years of web service (REST, SOAP) and API development and management

Strong Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web applications

Strong technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design patterns and implementation

Proven ability to carry a feature from start to finish, including prototypes, design specifications, constructive coding, unit testing and problem resolution

Preferred

Strong in SQL & PL/SQL and have good working knowledge on the relational database(s) (MySQL)

Experience With Selenium Web, Appium, Endtest.io Automated Regression Tools

Experience with other server-side stacks (Node.js, Python, Java etc.) a plus

Experience developing native or hybrid mobile applications for IOS and/or Android a plus

- Profound knowledge about state-of-the-art technologies and standards (PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS, AJAX, JQuery, XML, and Linux) 

Experience with web services and Various frameworks (CakePHP, Symfony, ZEND, Laravel, etc) -

Capability to create an extension or module.

- Must be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team 
- Experience in a structured development environment 
- Strong knowledge of Core PHP Skills & object-oriented programming (OOP) Has knowledge of any one of Git, BitBucket, SVN, etc. code management repositories.
