Backend Engineer / Architect

Back-end developers design and enable code-based innovation in our suite of web-based platforms and databases. Together with the front-end development team output enabling a intuitive, highly functional and seamless experience that delights our users.

This opportunity will rely on your ability to develop backend code, create, edit, or manipulate platform databases, leverage an API based integration approach for platform development.

We are looking for:

• Prior experience designing and developing backend code in support of web applications and platforms
• Sound programming skills and logic

• Excellent time-management skills and accountability for tasks on a daily, weekly and sprint basis

Skills Required:

• Sound knowledge and experience with backend technology such as Node, SQL, Python
• Understanding of secure API’s and the successful use in a commercial setting
• Understanding of JSON files, data manipulation techniques and products such as DataBricks
• Experience with Agile development efforts and Azure Dev/Ops tool

Key initial responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test and compile high quality code, data artifacts , processes, in support of the buildout of our platform and web applications
• Collaborating with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Designers and Front-end developers to establish and satisfy development objectives
• Foster innovation supporting new and existing programs, products, and features through a combination of thought leadership and emerging industry trends
• Reconciling data and reporting deliverables to internal and client teams
• Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.
• Taking lead on projects as needed.

• Contribute to the architecture, design and implementation of major components for OrchestrationandDay2operations management solution
• Document software design and implementation
• Innovate – stay on top of new technologies
•  Recommend and maintain technical design methodologies, processes, and standards
• Identify and resolve key technical and customer issues

• Strong programming skill in golang
• Strong understanding and experience working with grpc
•  Experience working with mongodb, redis and etcd
•  Experience delivering and consuming cloud native solutions
•  Experience writing Helm Charts and Kubernetes operator is a plus
•  Excellent Understanding of Operating System concepts and exposure working with networking constructssuchas sockets, database management, multithreaded applications
•  Solid understanding of computer architecture such as multi-core CPU scheduling, virtual memory, andcaching
•  Knowledge and experience with network and technologies is a plus (e.g. SSL/TLS, TCP/IP, HTTP, X509, PKI etc)
• Experience with container technologies like Docker, Docker-compose and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud technologies, AWS, Azure, VMware vSphere is a plus
• Experience working with development tools and process including Git, CI/CD.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 5+ years of related experience: or equivalent experience
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - seriously we want people whocancodebut also be on a team

• 3-5 years of work experience developing complex software
• Minimum 2years sound experience with back-end development in Java-script frameworks like loopback, Express, etc
• A solid understanding of core Javascript principles and its fundamentals
• Familiarity with popular Javascript tools, frameworks and design principles, and enjoy staying up to date with the changing Javascript ecosystem
• Strong communication skills across the board, with a passion for finding and sharing best practices and driving.

Key Responsibilities 

• Build and create Credflow Product - Do development on our tech Stack 
• Understand requirements from the product manager and sometimes talk to customers to understand the exact requirement and develop insights. 
• Maintain the product and optimize over time for performance
• Identify needs of the stakeholders and work with technology and management team to build future timeline of products and features
• Be the go-to person for all technology related requirements, queries, discussion etc
• Develop a complete analytics framework as the product evolves.

Qualifications and skills

• Undergraduate/Graduate degree from an engineering college
• Has full stack proficiency, managing large amounts of data and prior exposure to backend, web frontend, mobile apps etc. 
• Full Stack Proficiency on Node.JS, React.JS

• In memory data stores like Redis
• Experience in AWS (preferable)
