About the Role

Qiro is building the infrastructure powering the next generation of underwriting, credit analytics, and tokenized private credit markets.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you’ll design, build, and scale systems that bridge complex financial data, decision logic, and investor interfaces. You’ll work across the stack — from backend APIs and data systems to high-performance frontends for credit operations and analytics.

You’ll join a small, high-ownership founding team where every engineer contributes directly to product direction, architecture, and delivery. This is a hands-on, in-office role for builders who thrive in fast-paced startup environments and want to shape how institutional credit infrastructure is built from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

• Lead design and development of scalable backend systems and APIs using Python / TypeScript for underwriting, repayment, and investor workflows
• Build data-rich, interactive interfaces with React, Next.js, and React Query, powering analytics and workflow automation
• Implement form-driven, validation-heavy systems using Zod and Formik for onboarding, KYC, and investor flows
• Architect API-first frontends that integrate seamlessly with credit models, smart contracts, and data pipelines
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, and set technical standards for the team
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to translate complex financial logic into intuitive user experiences
• Own features end-to-end — from planning and architecture to deployment and monitoring
• Mentor and guide junior developers as we expand the engineering team

Who You Are

• 5+ years of professional full-stack experience, with 2+ years in senior or lead roles
• Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and React, with experience in both backend and frontend architecture
• Skilled in RESTful API design, state management, and component-driven UI development
• Hands-on experience building data-driven or fintech products
• Familiar with validation, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring best practices
• Excellent communicator with a strong product sense and ownership mindset

Bonus Points

• Experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS) and serverless architectures
• Familiarity with FastAPI, Pydantic, PostgreSQL, or similar frameworks
• Exposure to underwriting, lending, or credit analytics systems
• Prior experience in early-stage startups or 0→1 product environments

What are we looking for:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Credit to lead our credit department and drive our lending strategies. As the Head of Credit, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of credit underwriting, risk management, credit policy, ensuring that our lending practices align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices while maximizing profitability. The borrowers are NBFIs / NBFCs / Fintech lenders / Debt Funds spread across emerging economies like SEA, LATAM, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Head the Risk Policy, Credit Underwriting and Collection functions of NBFC / NBFI / Fintech lender / Debt fund from SEA, LATAM, etc.
• Facilitate the development and constant update of risk policies and related frameworks.
• Proactive risk assessment of existing portfolio on regular basis identifying weak accounts.
• Constantly monitor and evaluate Early Warning Signals and deploy/ amend the limits structure for managing the risk concentration across a broad range of parameters.
• Evaluating creditworthiness and financial stability of global borrowers such as NBFC / NBFI / Fintech Lenders / Debt Funds.
• Assessing risks in lending and making informed decisions.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of lending regulations.
• Provide detailed monthly and weekly reporting for LPs, investors, and management.
• Build, review, update and maintain the Credit Policy.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in the Banking/NBFC/Fintech space with at least 3-4 years of experience at management level.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field.
• Experience in credit analysis or underwriting of NBFCs / Fintech lenders / FIs
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities especially to manage global (mostly SEA & LATAM) FIs (NBFC / NBFI / Fintech Lender / Debt Fund)
• In depth knowledge of credit fund, hedge fund, debt fund, structured debt, corporate finance, and fintech lending. 
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to lending operations.
• Exceptional skills in understanding data, trend analysis, score cards and behavior scores is must

• Excellent communication skills along with strong presentation and data analytics skills.
• Professional certifications such as CA, CFA, FRM, or similar credentials are a plus.

Salary Range : 20 LPA to 35 LPA

Currently, we are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to take charge of designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems. As a pivotal team member, you will play a key role in ensuring the resilience, scalability, and security of our systems. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including smart contract developers, frontend developers, product managers, and designers, to deliver high-quality software solutions that drive our success. 

What You'll Do:

• Build and contribute to backend systems supporting Qiro products, interacting with different blockchain networks and external systems.
• Design and develop scalable and resilient client-facing backend APIs, internal services, and scripts for efficient execution of business logic.
• Architect and implement scalable backend solutions capable of handling growing user loads and evolving business requirements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test suites, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to ensure the reliability of backend systems.
• Implement monitoring and debugging tools to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring high system availability.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality code within project timelines.
• Document code, APIs, and technical processes to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and support the onboarding of new developers.

What Makes a Great Candidate:

• Strong experience in Node.js and Typescript, with proficiency in frameworks like ExpressJS (additional stacks may be used based on project requirements).
• Previous work experience in the blockchain/DeFi space, demonstrating a strong technical understanding of the EVM ecosystem.
• Proven expertise in developing backend REST APIs at scale, handling high request volumes while maintaining low latency and optimal system performance.
• Extensive professional experience in software design and architecture.
• Deep knowledge of testing frameworks and principles.
• Passion for exploring new technologies and the ability to autonomously evaluate them, making suggestions for improvement.

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
• Smart contract development experience.
• Understanding of real-world asset tokenization on-chain.
