At lastbit we are building a family of ultra-secure devices to facilitate the daily usage of crypto and hence mainstream adoption. One can purchase a lastbit device, securely store crypto and walk into any store and pay for a purchase using crypto at the POS terminal, IRRESPECTIVE of whether the merchant accepts crypto.
Since the advent of Bitcoin, a financial revolution of sorts has made it clear that it cannot be ignored any longer. However, for crypto to be used as a currency, a steep learning curve hinders adoption. To catalyze the mainstream adoption of crypto our solution enables anyone to use crypto with zero knowledge (pun intended) - analogous to using a debit card.
The lastbit Bridge service is a two-way bridge that allows cross currency transactions between crypto and fiat at the lowest possible fee and the real instant exchange rate and is integrated onto lastbit hardware.
The first generation of lastbit hardware allows users who already own hardware wallets, to augment their devices and add IOT/NFC connectivity, sensors, lastbit UX etc. without breaking the existing security model. Our second generation hardware features a complete standalone device capable of being used to send crypto/fiat wirelessly, pay at POS terminals instantly with crypto/fiat, peer to peer exchange/transfer in crypto/fiat and more, essentially addressing the entire cycle of digital transactions.
All lastbit hardware and the Bridge service are compatible with the lastbit Hodler mobile application, a comprehensive application to track your portfolio, send remote transactions, convert funds on the go and more.
Our hardware always ensures that the user and only the user is in control of their private keys, thus allowing the masses to be their own crypto-friendly bank.
