The Role
We are looking for dedicated sales professionals to drive the adoption of our product at Higher Ed institutions, universities, and colleges in North America. If you're eager to advance your career in sales and grow with a dynamic team, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities
- Own full sales cycle, from prospecting to close.
- Present the product, online and in person, to researchers, teaching faculty and academic librarians.
- Proactively build & nurture relations with clients and users through emails, calls and in person.
- Analyze trends and make data-driven decisions based on priorities in your work.
- Work effectively with other team members to deliver on sales targets, team projects and campaigns.
- Attend trade shows and participate in other marketing activities.
Requirements:
- Willingness to work in 9 AM to 5 PM EST (New York time zone) shift.
- A college degree.
- 2+ years of sales experience, ideally in business development or account management roles
- A drive to succeed and a passion to build a career in sales.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in person and online.
- Experienced with Salesforce or similar platforms.
- Confidence in dealing with clients and product users.
- Self-motivated, initiative, results-oriented, and willing to learn new skills.

The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Marketing Specialist with a passion for the biopharma sector. This role will focus on promoting JoVE’s unique solutions to biopharma companies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B marketing, particularly within the life sciences, and will excel in creating content and executing lead-generation marketing campaigns that resonate with biopharma audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing strategies tailored to biopharma companies
- Design and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and paid ads to drive lead generation and audience engagement
- Create completing content for case studies, newsletters, blogs, social media, ads, and email campaigns
- Collaborate with the sales and product teams to align marketing initiatives with business goals
- Engage with industry professionals through events, webinars, and strategic partnerships to expand JoVE’s presence in the biopharma market
- Organize and deliver webinars and events at conferences
- Analyze marketing performance data and leverage insights to optimize strategies. Monitor KPIs such as lead generation, engagement, and conversion rates, providing actionable recommendations for improvements
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or life sciences
- 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing with a strong focus on the biopharma sector
- Strong understanding of the biopharma industry, including R&D processes and market trends
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools (such as HubSpot)
- Experience with Salesforce and B2B prospecting tools, such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our team, working closely with the global content platform and new initiatives team. Your primary focus will be on developing new products, creating prototypes, and exploring novel use cases with emerging technologies. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with product managers and the platform team to drive innovation, rapidly develop new applications, and push the boundaries of what's possible with cutting-edge tech. Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in the full software development lifecycle for assigned applications, encompassing design, hands-on engineering, prototype development, and code reviews.
- Mentor and guide engineering peers while driving transformation within various technology domains.
- Serve as an engineering leader on an agile team, focusing on building scalable software solutions through consistent development practices, including tools, common components, and documentation.
- Lead and manage code reviews, ensuring high-quality codebase.
- Promote engineering excellence, particularly in the realm of automated unit testing.
- Collaborate closely with product owners to define product and engineering roadmaps.
- Tackle software debugging and identify code defects for remediation.
- Oversee the deployment, support, and monitoring of software in both development and production environments.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with web application frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, React, or similar. GraphQL experience is a plus.
- Experience with data-driven architecture and systems design, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency utilizing SQL, NoSQL, in-memory, and distributed SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, AuroraDB)
- Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs, external frameworks, and libraries
- Expert-level understanding and implementation of cloud-native architectures (AWS serverless or containers preferred) at scale in production
- Demonstrated understanding and implementation of software design principles such as SOLID and DRY with Software as a Service (SaaS), multi-tenancy application development
- Embraces the concepts of Agile Scrum software development and its related collaboration and issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Rally)
- Experience working in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CICD) model, including GitHub and CI pipeline automation tools
- Ability to triage and resolve incidents and lead incident investigations.
- Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to and be a voice of reason.
