PostgreSQLAs a Senior Software Engineer you have complete ownership of building out the Docexa product along with product people and the rest of the engineering team. This role will act as a great springboard to accelerate career growth & transition into a Tech Lead level role.
Your daily life
- Architecting of the whole platform
- Development of server-side logic
- Building new services and APIs
- Developing core business logic
- Maintenance of current APIs
- Improving the performance and reliability of our systems as we scale
Must-have skills
- You’ve been building web applications professionally for 4+ years
- You’re proficient in PHP 7, Laravel, and PostgreSQL
- You possess strong OOP and design pattern knowledge
- You are familiar with modern technology systems: AWS, load balancers, Kafka queues, caching, etc.
- You write understandable, testable and easy to maintain code
- You’ve the ability to build RESTful APIs
- Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support team, and fellow engineers is not a problem for you
- Well versed with the fundamentals of computer science and distributed systems

About the product
Docexa provides a suite of tools for doctors that can help them create their digital presence with their own page, run online consultations, manage their daily calendar and more!
We are completely revamping the current platform and building it from scratch. This is the biggest project we have taken on till date and this will move our product from the 90s to the future.
What your role will involve:
We have a basic design language and a design system which can be extended to build rest of the product. You are going to have full ownership of this.
You are not just going to be designing mock ups. You will be involved in strategic product thinking to solve real user and business problems, ideate on user flows and take responsibility of user testing, prototypes, visual design, animations and production of spec and assets.
In this role, you will report to the Product Manager and run things collaboratively.
Minimum Requirements:
Most importantly, you need to be super passionate about design and obsessive about detail while having a good sense of users and a keen interest to understand broad business goals.
Other than that you need to have:
- 2+ years of experience in UI/UX designs
- Comfortable being the only designer in the team
- A classy taste for colors and clean design
- Proficiency in Figma
- Ability to put user needs over your own preferences in design decisions
- Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to express design ideas
- Ability to put your ego aside and take feedback with an open mind

Angular (2+)
HTML/CSSResponsibilities:
- To build next-generation complex web applications that are efficient and modular.
- Works closely with UX designers and back-end engineers to implement versatile front-end solutions and new features.
- Responsible for integration with the services that reside on the back end.
Must-have skills:
- 2+ years of experience in building Single page applications using HTML5 CSS3 and AngularJS.
- In-depth knowledge on HTML5 and CSS is mustHands-on experience integrating upstream services, REST APIs.
- Hands-on with JS and preferably worked with Angular2+.
- Hands-on with automation/bundler like Gulp, Grunt or webpack.
- Extremely detail-oriented to strive for pixel perfection across all browsers.
