About the Role
YoloBus is looking for an experienced and proactive Manager – Bus Maintenance to oversee the maintenance, reliability, and operational readiness of our bus fleet across North India. The role will be responsible for ensuring maximum fleet uptime, implementing preventive maintenance schedules, managing workshops and vendors, and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end maintenance operations for the YoloBus fleet across North India.
- Ensure timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Monitor fleet health, vehicle performance, and breakdown trends to improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with workshops, service centers, and OEMs for repairs and maintenance support.
- Ensure fleet availability and minimize vehicle downtime.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures.
- Manage spare parts inventory and optimize maintenance costs.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Analyze maintenance data, prepare reports, and recommend improvement initiatives.
- Lead and mentor maintenance teams, workshop staff, and regional technical personnel.
- Coordinate with Operations teams to ensure seamless vehicle deployment and service continuity.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service agreements to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in fleet maintenance, workshop management, or commercial vehicle maintenance.
- Prior experience managing bus fleets is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, breakdown management, and workshop operations.
- Experience working with Volvo, Scania, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, BharatBenz, or similar commercial vehicle fleets.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across North India.
