Mobile Developer (iOS & Android) – 1–3 Years Experience

About the Role

We are building a new-age consumer commerce platform focused on parents in India. We are looking for an entrepreneurial Mobile Developer who is passionate about creating exceptional mobile experiences and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

As an early member of the engineering team, you will work directly with the CEO and have the opportunity to build and scale our customer-facing mobile applications while also developing internal tools that power our operations. This role offers high ownership, autonomy, and the chance to shape the future of our products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Develop customer-facing features with a strong focus on performance, usability, and reliability.
• Design and build internal operations tools and workflows that support business teams.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO and cross-functional teams to turn ideas into products.
• Own the complete development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and user experience.
• Integrate APIs and third-party services.
• Continuously improve code quality, architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Rapidly iterate based on customer feedback and business needs.

Required Skills

• 1–3 years of experience building mobile applications.
• Strong proficiency in either:
• React Native (preferred), or
• Native iOS (Swift), and/or
• Native Android (Kotlin/Java), or
• Flutter.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and integrating backend services.
• Understanding of mobile architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Git and modern development practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

• Experience working in D2C, e-commerce, consumer internet, or marketplace companies.
• Experience building customer-facing mobile products at scale.
• Exposure to backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Firebase.
• Experience building internal tools or operational workflows.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Firebase services.
• Startup experience or experience working in small, high-ownership teams.
• Experience with analytics, notifications, and mobile performance monitoring.

• Proficient with Swift and Cocoa Touch
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Location etc
• Experience in Design patterns such as POP, MVVM, CleanSwift, Facade
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Understanding of Git

KEY QUALIFICATIONS 

• ∙ BE/BTech in Computer Science or related field. 
• ∙ Minimum 3+ years of iOS application development. 
• ∙ Build iOS applications from scratch and have an understanding of working with 3rd Party frameworks using Cocoapod as a dependency manager. 

KEY SKILLS 

• ∙ Strong knowledge of iOS SDK, UIKit , Swift and having knowledge of socket.IO is a plus. 
• ∙ Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services. ∙ Familiarity with Push Notification APIs. 
• ∙ Knowledge of the open-source iOS ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
