Senior iOS Developer

Key Skills required

1. Understanding of the entire Mobile Application Development lifecycle

2. Solid experience of 2 years + in building Native Swift based iOS applications

3. Excellent knowledge of iOS specific user interfaces, user experiences and guidelines

4. Working experience with MVC and MVVM architectures

5. In depth knowledge of iOS specific user experiences and human interface guidelines

9. Experience with media streaming & playback using AV Player, AV Foundation & AV Capture

10. Experience working with analytical SDKs like Firebase Crashlytics, Branch.io etc

11. Experience with Push Messaging, Local Notifications, Background services

12. Experience in debugging errors and crashes using tools such as Crashlytics or Sentry

13. Experience with Marketing and Attribution SDKs such as Clevertap, Branch and/or Appsflyer

14. Experience in releasing applications to the Apple App Store

15. Ability to work in an Agile environment

16. An inclination towards cross platform technologies such as React Native

• Need experience in Swift / OOP's concept, API & SDKs, Mapkit, Firebase, and Payment Gateways.

Responsibilities: -

• Design and build applications for the iOS platform (Prefer Swift Language)
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality and organization.
• Should have basic knowledge of the application submission process

Skills

• Proficient with Swift, and Cocoa Touch

Qualifications-

About the Role:

You will work closely with the founders to build mobile SDKs for dyte. Our SDKs allows clients to integrate live audio/video interactions in their own app, it optionally comes with its own user interface.

You will be invovled in making a seamless developer product, code that will run in varying frameworks, operating systems and network conditions.

As in any startup, your responsibilities will vary frequently. You will wear multiple hats and will work with many different technologies. You might have to talk to clients directly, and you have an active say in the direction of our product. We want someone who is passionate about working in this type of environment!

You are expected to lead the mobile development for our mobile SDKs and work closely with Designers and Video engineers to push the limits of mobile communication tech.

● Work on the UI or UI Components for our SDK 

● Ensure the high performance movement of media to and from the device

● Work closely with the founders to decide the direction of the product. 

● Ensure that our customer's experience is the very best it can be. You might have to interact with the dev team of our initial clients.

Who you are:

● Expert level understanding of one or more mobile tech - Flutter, React Native, iOS (Swift/Obj-C), Android(Java/Kotlin), NDK. 

● You like deep diving into how things work under the hood. 

● You are experienced working with debugging and profiling tools. 

● You like to squeeze out every bit of performance / size improvement out from your code 

● You are intensely curious and passionate about the prospect of diving deep into new technologies, platforms, and problem spaces. 

● You embrace uncertainty. Our space is a rapidly growing one and specifications are continuously changing. 

● You care about the user experience and you know how to build user-friendly mobile applications.

• Knowledgeable in consuming RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
• Experience with large e-commerce web sites is desirable.
• Proficient in git

• 5+ years’ experience in developing applications for iOS using Swift 5.
• Hands-on experience in developing and integrating mobile applications for iPhone & iPad (both orientations)
• Knowledge of JSON/REST API, web services and related technologies.
• Experience with design Guidelines, UI and UX design.
• Prior experience in submitting and maintaining iOS Apps on Apple Store & TestFlight would be a plus
• Hands-on experience working with 3rd party SDKs, Libraries and APIs
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
