MeltPlan is building the “planning engine” for the $14 Tn construction industry, an AI system designed specifically to optimize decisions before construction begins. While design software optimizes use and aesthetics and construction software optimizes execution and control, MeltPlan is building the missing layer - software that optimizes decisions and tradeoffs upstream, before scope is locked, procurement begins, and change orders become inevitable. MeltPlan’s long-term goal is to help teams make construction “boring” by making planning more intense: surfacing constraints and tradeoffs early, aligning stakeholders before plans are frozen, and reducing the need for late-stage redlines, rework, and change orders.

MeltPlan is founded by operators who have built at scale. Kanav previously co-founded Innovaccer, a $3Bn health-tech company focused on making US healthcare more affordable and accessible. He’s now applying that systems-level thinking to construction.He’s joined by Tanmaya Kala, former Project Executive at DPR Construction, who led large commercial, healthcare, and life sciences projects. We combine deep tech scale with real construction execution.

What This Role Really Is

We’re hiring someone who:

You’ll ship products daily. You’ll also help shape the system so it doesn’t collapse under growth.

What You’ll Do

• Build end-to-end features (DB → API → UI)
• Design scalable data models and backend architecture
• Ship clean, production-grade frontend experiences
• Review and improve system design decisions
• Work directly with founders on product direction
• Help define engineering standards as we scale

What We’re Looking For

• Strong backend fundamentals (APIs, databases, performance, system design)
• Strong frontend skills (React/Next.js or similar modern frameworks) with minimum 5 years of works exp
• Experience building and shipping real products
• Ability to plan before building and refactor when needed
• High ownership mindset

We are seeking an experienced Senior Shopify Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Shopify development, with a focus on creating custom solutions and apps to enhance e-commerce experiences. As a Senior Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for leading projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving innovation in our e-commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Shopify-based websites, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Lead the development of custom Shopify themes, apps, and integrations to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to translate business goals into technical solutions.
• Optimize website performance and user experience through continuous testing and refinement.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Shopify development, with a strong portfolio showcasing custom Shopify themes and apps.
• Expertise in Shopify Liquid programming language and Shopify APIs.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices and principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Designing and developing interactively Adapting / Responsive web applications using best practices on ReactJs and the latest front-end technologies.

• Writing tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML and CSS, LESS / SASS.

• Cooperating with the back-end developer in the process of building the RESTful APIs.

• Participate in complex technical and design decisions for ReactJs projects.

• Ensuring high performance of applications (on mobile and desktop) and providing support.

• Work closely with design teams, development teams and testing teams.

• Coordinate team deliverables assuring Quality and Completeness.

Technical Skills:

• Highly Skilled with proven experience in React 16+ and its State Management tools like Redux, styling framework like Material UI.

• Proficient in CSS, LESS / SASS, Semantic HTML, and writing cross-browser compatible code.

• Extensive experience using JavaScript/ Typescript, HTML5, CSS/CSS3, LESS/SASS, Bootstrap, AJAX, JSON, Gulp, Grunt etc.

• Good Knowledge in Rest APIs/ GraphQL.

• Experience in tools such as GIT / SourceTree / Bit Bucket, JIRA, Confluence, etc.

• Should have understanding of the agile methodology

• User should have basic knowledge on tools like Figma / Adobe XD and photoshop etc.

Nice to have:

• Nice to have knowledge in Angular, NextJs.

• Nice to have knowledge in Progressive Web Application (PWA), Service Worker and Web Worker, etc.

• Best practices for Website Accessibility (WCAG)

Personal Traits:

• Strong Verbal and Written communication skills, such as meeting facilitation, presentation and documentation

• Work day-to-day with development team, QA testing team, providing expert support to each as needed and appropriate.

• Lead and Coordination experience with critical thinker and good problem-solver.

Education Qualification

• UG: B. Tech / B.E. – Computers OR PG: MCA / M. Tech

• MUST have working experience on Rest services or Ajax,
• MUST have experience on JavaScript MV-VM/MVC frameworks,
• Must have experience on Jasmine or Karma
• 4-6 years Experience with Angular.
• BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Strong expertise with HTML, CSS, and writing cross-browser compatible code.
• Good understanding of AJAX and JavaScript Dom manipulation Techniques
• Experience with RESTful services
• Experience in JavaScript build tools like grunt or gulp
• Expert in any one of the modern JavaScript MV-VM/MVC frameworks (Angular, JQuery, NodeJS)
• Familiar with testing frameworks (Ex. Jasmine)
• Test runner framework (Ex. Karma)
• Hand on and implements complex Angular applications, directives, controllers, services
