And will be responsible for designing & coding new functionality from scratch and maintaining or enhancing the current functionality.

We are looking for a talented UI Designer to create amazing user experiences. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience

Requirements and skills

• Proven UI experience
• Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
• Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
• Proficiency in Adobe XD, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
• Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
• Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
• BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

Responsibilities:

• Experience in building scalable, responsive applications using server-side Angular 2+, HTML5, CSS3, Less/Sass, DOM, and related libraries.
• Familiarity with concepts related to data flow and component-driven architectures with practical experience based on Angular 2+.
• Experience using CSS grid, designing screens, layouts, UI/UX.
• Building responsive websites with scalability in mind.
• Knowledge of JavaScript packages, package managers, bundlers, and their use in building complex interactive experiences.

• Lead a team to migrate an existing large-scale enterprise application to the Angular framework
• Utilize Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, GraphQL, NgRx, HTML5, CSS Preprocessors (SASS), to develop dynamic and engaging applications, consistent across all browsers and platforms.
• A deep understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, inclusive of SASS.
• Understanding of layout aesthetics
• Significant knowledge of visual aesthetic components and elements such as fonts, layout, color, graphics, etc.
• Work with an experienced set of teams and developers Writing clean, production-ready code, which will be integrated with the backend/APIs.
• Work with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and comps into interactive HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• Work in a rapid development-to-production release environment of Java Web-based commercial applications.
• Participate in collaborative teams (Product Managers, Project Managers, System Architect, Technical Leads, QA Analysts, UX, and Developers) pursuing Agile practices, including Scrum.
•  Actively involved throughout the project lifecycle, oftentimes starting with rapid prototypes early in the design phase
• You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with UI technologies - Angular, AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Typescript, JSON
• Front end technologies: Angular.js (1.x), Angular (4-12), HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap
• Excellent Javascript knowledge and programming experience with ES5/ES6
• Solid understanding and development experience in Angular
• Experience consuming REST APIs
• Experience with client-side architecture and design patterns
• Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations
• Solid understanding and extensive experience with version control tools like Node.JS, Git Bash, npm,  yarn, grunt, bower, less, webpack, Jenkins, JIRA, git, GitLab
• Exceptional problem solving and ability to work independently
• Exceptional learning skills

What you will do:

• Build cross-browser compatible front-end applications using ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Develop fast and highly scalable and responsive applications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams of product manager, backend developers, and UI/UX designers.
• Partner with product teams to ensure user interactions & features are well-designed and implemented.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

Skills And Qualifications:

• 4+ years of work experience in frontend web development.
• Strong understanding of Core Javascript, ReactJS, React Native (desired), semantic HTML5 CSS, Flexbox and responsive development.
• Thorough understanding of Javascript design patterns
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 CSS3
• Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Proficient understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as ReactJS, AngularJS
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Preferably from a SaaS and web applications platforms background, and/or B2B applications.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Experience in building APIs / application backends using Node.js (good to have)

Understanding of UI / UX best practices and ability to collaborate with the Design team to implement functional and intuitive user experiences

• Take lead on projects; all the way from leading kickoff sessions, research exercises, and presenting work to stakeholders throughout the process.
• Help the design team with user interfaces for all things at FamPay, including, but not limited to website, web app, mobile apps and physical products..
• Map user personas and desired actions. Be the Usability Champion.
• Work closely with Engineers. Document features for seamless handoff to design and development teams.
