EXPECTATION

The Product Manager is an integral member of Datacultr’s Product team who will serve as foundation that provide structure and cohesion between the Datacultr platform, Collections Digitization, Data Sciences and analytics. You will work cross-functionally on strategizing, planning, and implementing Debt Collections products at Datacultr. You will be responsible for leading the efforts on debt collection processes, engineering and product insights gathering requirements, overseeing development, and measuring the impact of these efforts.

Recognized as the debt collections subject matter expert within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Drive the vision and the strategy for debt collections platform, services, and usage at Datacultr (both internal and external).
• Partner with engineering managers and business stakeholders to help scope, identify trade-offs, and prioritize the implementation of debt collection products.
•  Own the platform and products roadmap, and prioritize opportunities based on business impact.
• Gather business requests from downstream consumers, engineering, and business functions. Empower consumers by building adoption and providing education on how to best leverage debt collection processes.
•  Deeply understand upstream and downstream systems and their implications on the platform.

KEY REQUIREMENT

•  Minimum of 5 years of experience required in the SaaS industry, preferably with a Banking Software Vendor, focused on global financial services, understanding of Debt Collection processes is a pre-requisite
•  Functional experience must have been gained in one or more of the following roles: product management & system implementations of front office/back office systems.
• Strong knowledge in banking products life cycle.
•  Good knowledge of banking applications, including collection processes.
• Business-level understanding of Debt Collection processes

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Technical Skills Required

• Expert with BSPs and use of Peripheral Device Drivers, on Android and Linux Operating Systems

• Expert with device boot for speed and absolute reliability on headless devices
• Expert allocation/efficient use of operating infrastructure: memory, CPU, I/O, and serial communications
• Expert full stack application development on Android and Linux Operating systems:
• Java, Kotlin, JS, C/C++, ---- a plus to have Python
• Expert use of various build and debug tools for Android and other Operating Systems
• Skilled at architecture and implementation of custom algorithms and rules engines using onboard sensors for industrial applications: ex: fall detect, collision avoidance, man down, alerts
• Skilled with battery life optimizations
• Skilled with implementation of user interfaces for devices based on requirements 
• Skilled with Sensor Integration in Android or other OS framework (Linux, RTOS)
• Skilled with device configuration management
• Experience to integrate and tune camera and audio subsystems for VOIP and Video calling
• Able to port and integrate from/to one chipset to another
• Able to support device software across product life cycle
• Understanding of enterprise grade application requirements, networking and network security
• Experience with application/device diagnostics and self-healing configurations for enterprise grade solutions
• Experience with secure over the air software/firmware upgrades, device configuration and management from network server
• Experience with design and support for factory provisioning and test

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

In depth knowledge of VUE.JS

• In depth knowledge of HTML5 • In depth knowledge of CSS3 (Less, Sass, Stylus is a plus), knowledge of BEM methodology is preferred

• Detailed knowledge of JavaScript (ES2015 is a plus)

• Experience in any JS framework(Angular, React + Redux, Vue, etc.,) is must

• Understanding of Web Accessibility WCAG guidelines.

• Must be able to mentor and guide junior technical resources.

I would need someone with DevOps experience, to ensure that the project is undertaken with the highest standards possible. I have had many experiences where ‘completed’ software after years of development was filled with bugs and it would be more cost-effective to start from scratch than to attempt to find and correct all the bugs.

I have attempted to learn as much as possible, but I now have an opportunity and it would better serve the venture to have someone handle the management of the project to ensure that;

• We choose the most appropriate technology
• We choose competent developers in those technologies
• The architecture and data modeling are clearly defined in a ‘blueprint’ plan
• A DevOps environment and processes are set up and the developers understand what is required
• Proper tests are carried out to ensure everything works as intended
• There are processes for testers to follow and competent testers are selected to follow them
• Accessibility, localization, and internationalization are planned ahead of time
• Security, scalability, and other future probabilities that I may not even be aware of are considered and planned ahead of time
• Documentation and code reviews, refactoring and other quality assurance processes are undertaken
• Working software is produced and systems that enable new developers or teams of people to easily take over and/or contribute new modules or updates in a controlled and organized fashion
• Cost estimates or budgets/projections or use of SaaS, hosting and other 3rd party services and applications

I am more concerned with a professional and world-class organizational system than with any particular type of software been produced as the strong foundation will enable anything to be creating with efficacy and precision.
