UI Developer

We are seeking a talented Front-End Developer based in India to work with us on an ongoing freelance or contract basis. As a key member of our team, you’ll handle a variety of tasks, including resolving technical issues, implementing site updates, customising Shopify themes, optimising user experiences, and ensuring seamless site performance.

The ideal candidate has expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React.js, Vue.js, or similar), and Shopify theme development, with a strong understanding of responsive design, debugging, and cross-browser compatibility.

Also has experience with SEO, Shopify Plus, or basic back-end development.

 RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Writing and reviewing great-quality code
• Understanding functional requirements thoroughly and analyzing the client’s needs in the context of the project
• Envisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements, and being able to define technologies, patterns and frameworks to realize it
• Determining and implementing design methodologies and toolsets
• Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities.
• Being able to lead/support UAT and production rollouts
• Creating, understanding and validating WBS and estimated effort for a given module/task, and being able to justify it
• Addressing issues promptly, responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement
• Giving constructive feedback to the team members and setting clear expectations.
• Helping the team in troubleshooting and resolving complex bugs
• Coming up with solutions to any issue that is raised during code/design review and being able to justify the decision taken

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Build complicated Workflow
• Understanding the user persona and deliver slick experience
• Experience in JavaScript (ReactJS / Redux) React Native, HTML, CSS, JQuery, HTTP
• Strong understating of XML, JSON, DOM, and w3c standards
• Providing technical expertise for every phase of the project lifecycle; from concept development to solution design, implementation, optimization and support
• Be an Interface with Stockholder sand architects to create technology specifications from business requirements for one or more modules within the project
• Responsible to prepare the technical design of the components within the module (one or more of client/web presentation tier, server tier, data access and data model, integration component, package function customization)
• Proficient in articulating the pros and cons of using a certain technology stack or component or design pattern versus another to the clients and project team and drives selection of technologies, designs to come up with the optimal architecture
• Drives the performance tuning, re-design and re-factoring for a module
• Contributes to designing and implementing the build, release process as well as system configuration and deployment characteristics of the application
• Implements (hands-on) the module components based on prevailing Framework and Open-source standards & its best practices.
• Mentors the team (people working on the module and other project team members) on technology concepts and best practices for design, implementation and other processes

Xoxoday is looking for a highly skilled/ Experienced Candidates in Frontend Programming & who is comfortable in dealing with Backend tools.

• Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
• Identifying web-based user interactions.
• Developing and implementing highly-responsive user interface components using React concepts.
• Writing application interface codes using JavaScript following ReactJS workflows.
• Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes.
• Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.
• Monitoring and improving front-end performance.

• 6 to 9 years of strong design and development experience in building massively large-scale distributed internet systems and products.
• Previous experience working as a React.js Developer.

• Strong experience using a client side MVC framework such as NodeJS, ReactJS, Redux.
• Experience with user interface design.
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest.
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
• Experience in responsive design, cross browser compatibility and website performance.
• Knowledge of frontend CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Material UI and preprocessors like SASS and LESS.
• Experience with handling Services, RESTful, APIs (NodeJS preferably).
