Role Description

As a Frontend Engineer you'll take charge of our dashboard and frontend architecture, working directly with the CTO to scale our platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end web development for Nudge, including the main Dashboard, Chrome Extension, and Web SDK.
• Collaborate closely with the product and design teams to implement intuitive, high-performance user interfaces.
• Ensure code quality by implementing industry best practices, scalable architecture, and maintainable coding standards.
• Plan and architect features proactively, while remaining flexible and adaptable to changing product requirements.
• Optimize application performance through effective network optimization, caching strategies, and efficient state management.
• Demonstrate a strong command of TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Next.js, Redux Toolkit, React Query, and browser storage mechanisms (localStorage, sessionStorage, cookies).

What We’re Looking For

• Expertise in React, Next.js, JavaScript, and Redux Toolkit.
• Strong fundamentals in core JavaScript and deep understanding of browser internals.
• Experience with web storage mechanisms (local/session storage).
• Hands-on experience building and scaling SaaS dashboards and SDKs.
• Demonstrated ownership - you've built things end-to-end in a startup environment.
• Bonus: Published open-source packages on NPM or similar.

Good to Have

• Integrate and leverage LLM capabilities within our products; familiarity with LangChain and Vercel AI SDK is highly desirable.

Frontend Developer

We started out as code school, offering creative tech boot-camps on topics like Drone Programming, Android App Development, Game Programming, Full-Stack Web Development to k-12 students across the nation, and now we're building web and mobile products to deliver powerful learning experiences to students online, at scale.

Job Description

We are looking for a Front End developer who is excellent with JavaScript (React.js + Redux). Some proficiency with Node.js preferred as you’ll be hooking up your front-ends to APIs and occasionally writing your own.

Your primary focus will be to develop the UI/UX for highly interactive / social / multiplayer learning platform, across the Student Product, Parent Product, Teacher Product, Virtual Classroom, and more.

Responsibilities

• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality React code
• Styling re-usable components with pixel perfection and mobile responsiveness
• Structuring state and information flow across your front-end app using Redux
• Optimizing your code for SEO and maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Skills / Required Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React.js
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Redux
• Bonus: past experience with Socket.io and WebRTC
• Writing and consuming REST APIs with Node.js 
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

Responsibilities:

• Design the overall architecture of the web application.
• Maintain code integrity, and quality, and ensure responsiveness of applications.
• Address and improve any technical issues.
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Must have strong experience in designing and maintaining a database.
• Work with modern frameworks and design patterns, minimum one-year experience with Full stack paradigm required.
• Handle technical queries raised by the development team and provide support and guidance to them.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform testing, and optimize application performance
• Collaborate with front-end and back-end engineers to design and create advanced, elegant, and efficient systems.

Skills:

• Strong proficiency with 3 - 5 years of experience.
• Expertise in Laravel and a good understanding of other core PHP frameworks using REST APIs.
• Professional, definite communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, Ajax, jQuery, and JavaScript.
• Extensive experience in designing and maintaining databases such as MySQL.
• Mastery of CMS such as WordPress and Magento is an advantage.
• Comprehensive knowledge of version controlling – GIT.
• Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
• Optimizing client and server-side code for maximum speed.

We are looking for a good JavaScript developer who is proficient with React.js. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in React JS and Redux
• Expert in React.j, ideally using TypeScript language extensions
• Good understanding of JavaScript Design Patterns
• Good experience writing front-end test cases
• Exposure in React Native is preferred.
• HTML5, CSS3 and Responsive web design are mandatory
• Exposure to Scrum methodology and XP technical practices such as unit testing, pair programming, test-driven development, continuous integration or continuous delivery
• Self-motivated, fast learner, detail-oriented, team player and a sense of humour
