About Us:

Docsumo is Document AI software that helps enterprises capture data and analyze customer documents. We convert documents such as invoices, ID cards, and bank statements into actionable data. We work with clients such as PayU, Arbor and Hitachi and are backed by Sequoia, Barclays, Techstars, and Better Capital.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for overseeing the development of Docsumo React webapp. You will be working closely with the founders and lead the frontend development.
• Serve as a thought leader and mentor on technical, architectural, design and related issues.
• You will responsible to provide oversight, accountability, and leadership for technical decisions
• You will be designing and building modules in React within the Docsumo webapp. The webapp is the main way for customers to consume Docsumo APIs.
• Own and Implement the features using the technology stack that we have in place while bringing in flavours of latest but proven trends and methods
• Contribute to Product and Design ideas and Implement them as your own product. We value everyone’s inputs.
• Work with our hiring team to hire amazing engineers who will expand the Docsumo culture and product.

Skills:

• At least 6 years years experience building React webapps
• Demonstrated ability to build webapps from scratch using React. Demonstrated ability of managing frontend engineers
• Proven skills in developing a production level end to end UI application on their own
• Excellent command over HTML5, CSS, Javascript & React, Redux
• Familiarity with Version Control tools such as Git
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of SQL / NoSQL databases with hands-on experience in at least one database system
• Must be self-motivated, flexible, collaborative, with an eagerness to learn
• Comfortable working in an Agile work environment with an incredibly fast pace and a large degree of independence.

• Build, extend, and maintain reusable UI components that will be used across many applications.
• Develop best practices and guidelines for contributing UI and reusable components to a central component library.
• Perform installation of code releases and patches and write scripts or programs for IT applications.
• Work closely with our UX design team to ensure usable designs with a consistent look and feel.
• Maintain high-quality code and ensure best practices for UI development.
• Ensure designs follow Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
• Work in a fast-paced agile environment partnering with software engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Participating in design and development activities as required for specific projects allocated
• Understand the project requirement and able to implement and complete the allocated modules independently.
• Follows established development and testing procedures to ensure quality software development which meets the requirements

Requirements:

• BTech or equivalent degree from a reputed institute
• Proven hands-on Software Development experience
• Design & Develop HTML5 games with the help of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, SVG, Pixijs library across multiple platforms(Web/ MobileTablet/ TV)
• Building reliable and efficient code for game projects
• Should understand build milestone process and meet project timeline.
• Helps drive the delivery of successful, cutting edge products by working on a team with other Developers, and Designers
• Work towards optimization and best practices, increase performance of our application
• 1 to 3+ years of development experience. (Preferably Gaming)
• Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, SVG, JSON
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, and Design Patterns for Games and Web Applications
• Familiarity with any of the current generation JavaScript frameworks like PixieJS, CreateJs, Starling etc

We are looking to hire a Full-time, Remote (India) Frontend engineer to help create a SAAS product from the ground up in a niche industry.
This will be the v2.0 of an existing legacy platform with paying customers. This position is within the first few hires in the founding team of the revamped company.

Experience - At least 5 years building scalable SAAS applications in the cloud. It would be great to showcase anything progressive. Education from premier institutions, git contributions, tech blogs, volunteering, pet projects, etc.

Responsibilities -
- Architect, write, deploy and own the (SAAS) product from a technical frontend standpoint working closely with backend engineers and designers
- Create and deliver the product end-to-end all the way to the user
- Write highly performant code and continuously measure performance and make the application better based on benchmarks
- Debug production issues and keep the application quality high always
- Assist with hiring more people when the team grows
- Pick up any appropriate work as in any early-stage company

General Skills Needed -

- Create state-of-the-art user experiences including complex dashboards, pdf reports, complex graphs delivering the end-to-end implementation all the way to the user
- Should be able to build and deploy multi-tenant SAAS applications end to end
- Need to have a technology-agnostic mindset. Should be able to easily pick up any new technology based on the use case
- Should be an expert software craftsman/craftswoman. Must own the code and be proud of what you build
- Write well thought out, well-tested code with extensive unit tests and integration tests so that the addition of future features is easy.
- Must know cloud deployment concepts and be comfortable working on CI/CD pipelines, cost-effective cloud deployment strategies. AWS experience highly preferred
- Must be able to design and architect simple, market-tested yet highly scalable solutions
- Must be able to quickly iterate and produce working software at a high speed. Must not be shy to scrap and rebuild when there is a need
- Must be appreciative of documentation and write well-documented code and technical documentation alongside

Technical Skills Needed -
- Expert level knowledge in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web development standards and frameworks (React preferred/Angular/Vue/etc)
- Expert level knowledge in the appropriate frameworks
