Role Overview
We’re looking for a creative and highly motivated Video Editor to join our content team. You will be responsible for editing short-form and long-form video content for platforms like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and more. This is a remote opportunity for someone passionate about storytelling, trends, and translating raw footage into compelling visual narratives.
Key Responsibilities
• Edit and deliver high-quality video content (reels, shorts, etc.) tailored for digital platforms
• Work with creative briefs to craft visually engaging stories with strong pacing, rhythm, and sound design
• Ensure videos follow platform-specific formats, aspect ratios, and trending best practices
• Source or implement trending music, transitions, visual effects, and subtitles
• Collaborate with social media, marketing, and AI content teams for creative alignment
• Manage multiple video projects simultaneously while maintaining consistent quality
• Optimize visuals for brand consistency and audience engagement
• Incorporate feedback and iterate quickly on edits
Requirements
• 6 months to 1 year of hands-on video editing experience (internships and freelance included)
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar tools
• Understanding of sound layering, audio balancing, and visual pacing
• Strong grasp of reel/story structures and audience retention techniques
• Awareness of trending music, hashtags, formats, and visual styles on Instagram and YouTube
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup, meet deadlines, and respond to feedback efficiently
Bonus Points
• Experience with motion graphics or animation basics (After Effects, Canva, etc.)
