Founding Engineer:

As a Founding Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and launching our product to customers. Specifically,

• Since our team is lean and we plan to keep it that way - you’ll be one of the first five engineers in leading the zero-to-one journey of a product our customers are hungry for
• Lead technical design and implementation of the frontend and backend of the product with coaching and mentorship from world-class technical architects
• Have knowledge of (or learn) how to work with Shopify’s CLI
• Iterate quickly to create delightful user experiences, working closely with customers/ design partners
• Help us hire a world-class engineering team in the months ahead
• Our team is currently fully remote (with offices to be opened in Bangalore and Mumbai over next few months) and cross-border across San Francisco, Boston, and India - help us cultivate a remote-first, inclusive, diverse, and friendly culture
• Work directly with the founders with an ownership mindset

Skills and Experience:

• Prior experience working with backend tech stacks (e.g. Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, Django, Laravel)
• Experience with service service-oriented architecture, writing REST APIs, unit testing, and architectural design
• Understanding of modern web stacks and architecture (HTTP, REST, GraphQL, WebSockets)
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and other technologies (e.g. Mysql, Redis, Kafka)
• Prior experience working with frontend tech stacks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Prior experience working with frontend UI frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS)

Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our team, working closely with the global content platform and new initiatives team. Your primary focus will be on developing new products, creating prototypes, and exploring novel use cases with emerging technologies. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with product managers and the platform team to drive innovation, rapidly develop new applications, and push the boundaries of what's possible with cutting-edge tech. Responsibilities

• Take a lead role in the full software development lifecycle for assigned applications, encompassing design, hands-on engineering, prototype development, and code reviews.
• Mentor and guide engineering peers while driving transformation within various technology domains.
• Serve as an engineering leader on an agile team, focusing on building scalable software solutions through consistent development practices, including tools, common components, and documentation.
• Lead and manage code reviews, ensuring high-quality codebase.
• Promote engineering excellence, particularly in the realm of automated unit testing.
• Collaborate closely with product owners to define product and engineering roadmaps.
• Tackle software debugging and identify code defects for remediation.
• Oversee the deployment, support, and monitoring of software in both development and production environments.
• Contribute to the automation of deployment processes in various environments.
• Work towards ensuring that all applications can scale and explore self-healing solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with web application frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, React, or similar. GraphQL experience is a plus.
• Experience with data-driven architecture and systems design, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency utilizing SQL, NoSQL, in-memory, and distributed SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, AuroraDB)
• Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs, external frameworks, and libraries
• Expert-level understanding and implementation of cloud-native architectures (AWS serverless or containers preferred) at scale in production
• Demonstrated understanding and implementation of software design principles such as SOLID and DRY with Software as a Service (SaaS), multi-tenancy application development
• Embraces the concepts of Agile Scrum software development and its related collaboration and issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Rally)
• Experience working in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CICD) model, including GitHub and CI pipeline automation tools
• Ability to triage and resolve incidents and lead incident investigations.
• Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to and be a voice of reason.

Product Development Engineer is responsible for front end development of modules of enliven CEM. 

The engineer is responsible for end to end delivery of specific components in the module and integrate them with existing modules 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Working with technical architects, able to convert the architecture into design and code in Java (Spring Boot), AngularJS, and NodeJS. 

• Able to generate LLD documents. 

• Ability to write Quality code with minimum defects. 

• Unit Test and following the coding standards. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS: 

• 5+ years strong programming and logical skills in Java (Spring Boot), AngularJS, Object Oriented Java script, NodeJS and HTML5 

• Hands on Experience on Java (Spring Boot), and MySQL is mandatory. Must have completed at least 2 full projects using Spring boot and AngularJS.

• Excellent knowledge and experience in Spring JPA, RESTful web services implementation.

• NodeJS experience is value add 

• Should have participated in, and be familiar with, Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices.

• Must be able to mentor and guide junior technical resources. 

• One who is proactive and comes forward with technology related initiatives. Motivated selfstarter. 

• Good Communication skills. English - Oral and Written.

Job Purpose

You will be involved with hardcore development. If you are an assembler of code or packages from different places to build something, you may not find our team to be the right fit.

You must be someone who can build anything from the ground up. Programming language should not be any barrier for you, as you should be able to pick up any programming language or underlying technology within a week.

Essential Skills

• Familiarity with GoLang / PHP / Python / Java / C / C++ / Linux Shell and Scripting / HTML / CSS / JS / Node.js is a plus
• Effective communication skills to ensure smooth coordination of tasks with the Team Leader.
• Knowledge of MongoDB, MySQL, and PL/SQL is a plus
• Familiarity with ML, TensorFlow, and Keras is a plus
• Knowledge of web servers such as Apache, NGNIX, and the HTTP protocol is a plus.
• Knowledge of multi-process, threads, memory, and filesystem on Linux is desirable.
