Job Description

• Lead Ecommerce Solution Design and Development: Spearhead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for our ecommerce platform using Java Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and quality assurance teams to gather requirements and deliver exceptional ecommerce solutions.
• Architectural Oversight: Provide architectural oversight for ecommerce projects, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practices.
• Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality, ensuring adherence to Java Spring Boot coding standards and best practices. Implement and promote quality assurance processes within the development lifecycle.
• Integration of Ecommerce Solutions: Oversee the seamless integration of ecommerce solutions with other business systems, ensuring a cohesive and efficient data flow.
• Payment Gateway Integration: Collaborate on the integration of payment gateways and other essential ecommerce functionalities.
• Stay Informed on Ecommerce Technologies:Stay abreast of the latest developments in ecommerce technologies, incorporating new features and improvements based on emerging trends.
• Client Interaction:
• Engage with clients to understand their ecommerce requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure the successful implementation of solutions.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of software development experience, with a significant focus on Java Spring Boot development and ecommerce platforms.
• Proven expertise in designing and developing ecommerce solutions using Java Spring Boot, with a deep understanding of the framework.
• Familiarity with ecommerce platforms, including payment gateways, inventory management, and order processing.
•  Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot technologies, with experience in microservices architecture.
• Java 8 or above latest version hands on
•  Microservices architecture, Spring boot REST hands-on (min 3 yrs experience mandatory)
•  Well versed with at least one cloud- AWS/GCP/Azure (min 2 yrs experience mandatory)
•  Kubernetes, Docker, Containerisation (Mandatory)
•  Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc
•  MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL or any 1 RDBMS and 1 NoSQL DB hands on experience  
•  Experience with any in-memory caching mechanism like Redis. Hazelcast, etc
• Good understanding of DSA and their applications

• Experience working with Agile methodologies and advanced proficiency in version control systems.

• Experience in Core Java 5.0 and above, CXF, Spring. 
• Extensive experience in developing enterprise-scale n-tier applications for financial domain. Should possess good architectural knowledge and be aware of enterprise application design patterns. 
• Should have the ability to analyze, design, develop and test complex, low-latency client-facing applications. 
• Good Experience into Microservices , Data structures , Oops , Algorithms, multithreading etc 
• Good development experience with RDBMS, preferably Sybase database. 
• Good knowledge of multi-threading and high-volume server-side development. 
• Experience in sales and trading platforms in investment banking/capital markets. 
• Basic working knowledge of Unix/Linux. 
• Experience into High /Low level designing. 
• Excellent problem solving and coding skills in Java.

Mandatory Criteria :

• Candidate must have Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes of atleast 2 years in production environments.
• Candidate should have Expertise in at least one public cloud platform [GCP (Preferred), AWS, Azure, or OCI).
• Proficient in backend programming with Python, Java, or Kotlin (at least one is required).
• Candidate should have strong Backend experience.
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery or Snowflake for data analytics and integration.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Backend Engineer with 4–7 years of experience, who has worked extensively on at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure, or OCI). Experience with multiple cloud providers is a strong plus. As a Senior Development Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling backend services and infrastructure on cloud-native platforms.

# Experience with Kubernetes is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, reliable backend services and cloud-native applications.

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases or event-driven/message-based architectures.
• Experience with serverless services, managed data pipelines, or data lake platforms.

You’ll play a key role in designing and building high-performance backend systems that are scalable, secure, and reliable. As a core member of the engineering team, you’ll collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and other developers to deliver quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop backend components, REST APIs, and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
