WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Handle end-to end project planning and management of Software projects in e-commerce and retail industries.
• Create and present the project plans using Jira / MPP to clients and the internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with the Technical Architects / Technical Leads / Business Analyst / Quality Assurance for  estimation of the ongoing / upcoming projects.
• You will be responsible for the High Level timeline and Milestones for the project.
• Manage resource requirements and utilization for the project. Forecast utilization and work with the management for proper resource allocation and skill alignment.
• Closely interact with the clients to communicate and align on the  Project plans / scope / workflow / project execution etc.
• Track the execution of the sprints  against the project plan to ensure we are meeting the scheduled deadlines / milestones. Propose solutions in case there are timeline risks.
• Responsible for the Change Management process from the identification of the change request to estimation, approval,  planning and final execution of the change request.
• Monitor dependencies and risks to ensure timely resolution and/or escalation to reduce bottlenecks and maintain steady flow of work.
• Alert Client, Client Partners, Team and other stakeholders, to upcoming milestones and the resultant impact on timelines.
• Host agile events such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews/demos and retrospectives.
• Coach team to adapt Agile principles and Scrum values. Use tools and processes as needed to empower team members to deliver better and iteratively improve the sprint performance.
• Work closely with Clients to ensure dependencies and impediments are cleared and the client team is fully aligned with the progress of the project
• Create reports and dashboards to monitor the progress of the project for the scrum team and management
• Report burnt hours on a regular basis for reporting, monitoring and billing purposes
• Be responsible for overall, on budget and on time delivery of the project

WHAT WE NEED IN YOU

• Hands-on experience in planning and management of software development projects from scratch.
• Experience in Ecommerce or Retail would be an advantage.
• Process oriented and also be flexible and dynamic to align with the current work flows.
• Project Planning skills - Using MPP, smartsheet or any other Project Management tool.
• Expertise on project management tools like Jira, Zoho People, Confluence, Bugzilla, Github, basecamp.
• Knowledgeable in agile methodologies and familiar with different agile ceremonies
• Good understanding of Jira / JQL to create reports, dashboards and workflows etc.
• Ability to manage Multiple Projects / Clients
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

QUALIFICATION 

• Engineering Graduate or equivalent or MBA in Project management.
• 7 plus years of experience as a core Project Manager.

• Analyzing product metrics regularly and using the learning for product innovations and improvements.
• Ensuring timely delivery of projects through proper planning, scheduling, and execution.

Qualifications & Skills:

• A Full-Time Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering (IT/CS) is mandatory.
• A Master's in Business Administration or equivalent experience in a high-growth tech company or startup is a plus.
• Experience in developing a website on Shopify is required.
• 2 to 5 years of product management, IT, e-commerce, operations, or related experience on a digital product/platform.
• High proficiency with JavaScript libraries like Nodejs/React, GraphQL/PHP, AWS, and MongoDB development.
• Experience as a generalist working on the front and a fair understanding of APIs to build products that delight users both internally and externally.
• The ability to stitch together many different services and processes together even if they have not worked with them before.
• Ability to think about systems and services and write high-quality code.
• Prior experience in a startup is mandatory.
• Good working experience with Data Structure, Algorithms, Low-Level Designing, and Object-Oriented Design.

• Work towards making the interface of the Flam app & website visually world-class, clean and legible, intuitive to understand, and aesthetically appealing.
• Experienced in collaborating with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and Developers to see an idea through conceptualization, design, validation, and development
• Collaborate with team members from the Tech, Marketing, and Community teams
• Exceptional in terms of customer empathy, human-centric UI designs
• Good understanding of UX principles, Information Architecture, Usability techniques, and UI patterns

Requirements

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on Magento 2 CMS, and JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery

• Experience with Theme Integration, Customization, Third Party API Integrations.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL scripting and My SQL database administration.

The opportunity

The Engineering Manager (EM)is responsible for a managing a team of full stack engineers that is building highly innovative and cutting edge solutions. This role is accountable for leading a team, developing code, deploying and managing in production. Most importantly, the EM, while working with the Product owners drives the product Net promoter score (NPS), user satisfaction, building the product roadmap and delivering highly functional, exceptionally innovative and intelligent software. You will be called upon to be the technical representative for your team during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning. Success in this role will require strong and innovative approaches to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, accountability and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail.

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll take the lead as you - drive product development, operations and technical decision making. You’ll have a strong focus on team management and development, equal focus will be on writing production code and hands on active development of the capabilities and solutions. Assist in defining infrastructure need and use enterprise solution and drive resolution of technology roadblocks including code, infrastructure, build and deployment. Manage overall software development cycle by adhering to development and security standards. Establish good stakeholder communication and work closely with Product teams and influence set product roadmap and help drive requirements while being a strong advocate of extreme agile and DevOps practices across engineers. Build and manage a team of high performing full stack engineers and provide leadership, coaching, motivation and recommend staffing levels, operating procedures, tools and systems for the team. Provide career development and performance management to a team of engineers.

Required Candidate Profile

• 4 year degree in or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of engineering (software development) experience
• 1-3 years of managing teams with a strong track record of delivery for cross-functional product experience with Cloud hosting and managing products
• Proficient in building high performing APIs and writing specs
• Expertise in programming languages. Hands on experience in Java, J2ee technologies is preferred.
• Experience in SAP Hybris Commerce would be a plus
• Experience with integration, data handling technologies and other open source frameworks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of audiences
• Team-orientated, passionate about developing others’ skills and capabilities
• Successful track record of working in large scale technology solutions
• Deep understanding of agile development processes and methodology including continuous integration and delivery, with a mindset of building incrementally and delivering business value quickly
