ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) at UnifyApps, you’ll work at the intersection of engineering, problem-solving, and customer impact. You’ll embed with enterprise clients, understand real-world problems, and design and implement solutions using the UnifyApps platform. This role is ideal for high-potential engineers from Tier-1 colleges who want to work on real enterprise-scale problems, gain full-stack exposure, and grow rapidly in a high-impact SaaS environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with client and internal teams to understand complex business processes, legacy systems, and integration needs.
• Design, build, and deploy solutions using the UnifyApps platform across data, workflows, and GenAI/LLM use cases.
• Develop data pipelines, API integrations, and low-code apps to solve high-impact problems.
• Collaborate closely with UnifyApps’ product and engineering teams to shape platform capabilities through real deployments.
• Rapidly prototype, iterate, and deliver production-grade solutions with high ownership.
• Contribute to internal accelerators, templates, and best practices.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED:

Basic Qualifications

• 8 - 11 years of experience in software development with at least 5 years on GUI development

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Strong at problem-solving using Java 8 and above.
• Good understanding of SDLC using agile methodologies iterative development.
• Basic skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are desired.
• Hands-on knowledge of using Spring Boot or Quarkus for building Microservices or API driven solutions.
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience in using any RDBMS like MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Understanding or exposure to Cloud-Native development using AWS is an added advantage.
• Any experience in working on projects built using Microservice architecture, esp if using React and Java with Docker is an added advantage.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Java platform and technologies.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with HTML5, CSS and Angular.
• Experience with enterprise level application design and development is a must.
• Expert level knowledge in Java Spring framework, JHipster, PostgreSQL, HTML5, Angular, CSS
• Must have previously worked in an environment using version control systems such as Bitbucket.
• Good knowledge of RDBMS such as Postgres and MySQL. Should be proficient in SQL and assessing performance of queries. Some ability to monitor and maintain the database is needed.
• Experience with AWS RDS is MUST.
• Minimum 3 years of experience deploying Java applications on the AWS cloud.
• Ability to handle front-end development (Angular JS) is a MUST.
• Experience working with Monday, Atlassian project management tools (JIRA/Bitbucket/Confluence) or similar is a must.

You're more than a coder. You wil be part of entire product process, from conceptualizing till post-launch evaluation. You should have deep empathy for the users to minimize the gap between what we build and what they need. Have sound judgement to balance between code writing speed and it's maintainability. Knowledge of variety of server-side/frontend frameworks is desirable but not compulsory.

Strong experience on core Java (Version >=1.8 )

Strong experience on Spring ecosystem (Core, MVC, data, JPA, transaction management, security, AOP, Batch & Boot). Comfortable performing integration tests in Spring context.

Strong experience on JDBC and DB concepts.
