Experience Level

This role is ideal for engineers with 3+ years of experience who are passionate about building high-quality software using modern Java technologies and Angular.

As a Software Craftsperson (SC-II), you'll work in product teams that take full ownership—from design and development to deployment—following eXtreme Programming (XP) practices such as pair programming, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and test-first development.

What You'll Do as a Software Craftsperson

• Own feature-level design, delivery, and quality across backend and frontend applications.
• Build reliable, maintainable, and testable software using clean code principles and disciplined engineering practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Work in an AI-native development model by leveraging AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining engineering quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by mentoring peers and refining engineering practices.
• Participate in modern development workflows including CI/CD and collaborative software development.

Requirements

What You'll Bring

Backend – Java

• 3+ years of Java development with strong fundamentals.
• Experience with Micronaut or Spring frameworks.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design principles, and design patterns.
• Good knowledge of Java Collections and Multithreading.
• Experience with Hibernate ORM.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Gradle or Maven.
• Experience writing unit tests using JUnit.

Frontend – Angular

• Hands-on experience building scalable applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of Angular fundamentals including:
• Components
• State Management
• Data Binding
• Routing
• Directives
• Pipes
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Database & DevOps

• Experience working with relational databases.
• Experience debugging and performance tuning applications.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) frameworks.
• RxJS for reactive programming in Angular.
• Fundamental SQL knowledge.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring best practices.

AI-First Development

You'll be expected to embrace AI as an integral part of the development workflow by:

• Leveraging AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Augment, and Claude Code to accelerate software development.
• Using AI to identify potential bugs, code smells, and performance issues early in the development lifecycle.
• Applying prompt engineering techniques to improve AI-assisted development.
• Evaluating AI-generated code for correctness, performance, maintainability, and security.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team focused on building scalable, secure, and intelligent enterprise software. The ideal candidate is a strong technologist who enjoys coding, mentoring, and driving high-quality software delivery in a fast-paced startup environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers across backend, frontend, and integration areas.
• Drive architectural design, technical reviews, and ensure scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality releases on time.
• Establish best practices in agile development, testing automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build reusable frameworks for low-code app development and AI-driven workflows.
• Hire, coach, and develop engineers to strengthen technical capabilities and team culture.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science from a Tier-1 Engineering College.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with at least 1 year mentoring or managing engineers.
• Strong expertise in backend development (Java / Node.js / Go / Python) and familiarity with frontend frameworks (React / Angular / Vue).
• Solid understanding of microservices, APIs, and cloud architectures (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience building or scaling SaaS or platform-based products.
• Exposure to GenAI/LLM, data pipelines, or workflow automation tools.
• Prior experience in a startup or high-growth product environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• 6+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in Camunda development; Camunda certification required.
• Expertise in designing, developing, and implementing Camunda components like Job Workers and Process Models, following best practices.
• Proficient in integrations with external systems using REST APIs, connectors, web services, and experience in building REST services with Spring Boot or .NET.
• Hands-on experience integrating Camunda with Front End, Streaming Products, PostGres, SMTP, SAP, and RPA systems; strong SQL query and function writing skills.
• Experienced in deploying solutions via Bitbucket and GIT, maintaining documentation, and participating in code reviews to ensure quality and compliance.
• Skilled in tracking and resolving CRs/Defects through JIRA and providing technical support for UAT/PROD environments.

• Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST, JSON, Micro Services, 12 Factor Apps, Apache.
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture
• Ability to design, develop and implement scalable, elastic microservice based platforms.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OAuth token-based authentication protocol.
• Demonstrated knowledge of PCI and Security Coding Standards.
• Performs hands on coding using Java/J2EE & unit testing.
• Contribute to the Design and develop high quality software for large scale Java/Spring Batch/Micro-service Applications.
• Proficiency in the following general areas: Java (Java 1. 7/Java 1. 8), Spring Framework, Jenkins, Gradle, and GitHub.
• Experience with RESTful services, Rabbit MQ, JSON, Unix Scripting, and Hadoop is a plus.
• Core development experience in large scale enterprise Java applications using Spring Framework.
• Experience in SQL (DB2 & SQL databases)
• Strong knowledge and experience on Nginx as APIM tool Solid experience in coding and creating APIs.
•  Expertise in WSDL, XML, XSLT, JSON, XPATH and Gateway scripts
• Provide front line support for Nginx related problems by being involved in troubleshooting, root cause analysis and appropriate secure integration recommendations.
• Installation of Nginx API Gateway as per need.
• Experience in Containers and Kubernetes.
• Good linux and administration skills
• Experience on API Orchestration/Mediation/Protocol Bindings and transformation knowledge on disparate message structures
• Design, develop and implement API proxies using OpenAPI specification Analysing logs and trace for errors and exceptions Manage and publish content in Developer portal Security implementation using OAUTH, SAML, CORS 
• Must Have Knowledge of API development and its technologies.
