Ab Initio Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Ab Initio Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development and maintenance of critical data integration solutions. As an Ab Initio Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and efficient data pipelines using Ab Initio's powerful ETL capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Design, develop, and implement complex data integration solutions using Ab Initio's graphical interface and command-line tools.

·      Analyze complex data requirements and translate them into effective Ab Initio designs.

·      Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines, including data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

·      Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Ab Initio jobs and data flows.

·      Optimize performance and scalability of Ab Initio jobs.

·      Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, and other team members to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

·      Stay up-to-date with the latest Ab Initio technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

·      2.5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Ab Initio development.

·      Strong understanding of Ab Initio components, including Designer, Conductor, and Monitor.

·      Proficiency in Ab Initio's graphical interface and command-line tools.

·      Experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts.

·      Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.

·      Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

·      Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·      Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

·      Experience with cloud-based data integration platforms.

·      Knowledge of data quality and data governance concepts.

·      Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting).

·      Certification in Ab Initio or related technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, draft user flows, communicate project scope effectively, and manage products through development, QA, UA Testing, and launch • Ability to understand business and technical requirements & conceptualize end-toend solutions

• Ensure requirements are communicated effectively to the business, design, operations, CS and development teams.

• Manage agile product development process from a product management point of view

• Participate in scrum meetings, planning, reviews and retrospectives • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog and track feature releases with different stakeholders

• Work with QA and engineering teams to streamline system integration, test and improve product features

• Serve as an in-house expert for our products and become the go-to person for all functional issues

• Manage all aspects of in-life products, including customer feedback, requirements, and issues

• Have Strong OSS/BSS requirement gathering and solution experience (Telecom domain).

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Telecom products e.g CRM, SDP, Billing & Service provisioning. Skills and Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred 

• Contributing to the backend of the product development.
• Maintaining these applications for accuracy and high availability.
• Contributing to and enforcing great coding practices through code reviews.
• Sharing knowledge with your colleagues during regular knowledge Sharing sessions.
• Collaborate across functions and own the planning, estimation and execution for parts of the product.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve system designs, architecture and implementation standards.

• Experience of architecting and building products/business critical backend applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with relational databases like Postgres or MySQL.
• Experience of deploying and maintaining web applications.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP etc.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and stress testing tools.
• Good communication skills.

 Strong experience in front-end design and development minimum 3+ Year to implement responsive, robust/secure, user-friendly/functional, network -sensitive web applications.  Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.  Experience with modern frameworks such as Nodejs, AngularJS Express  Experience in building API and WebSockets for client-server communication with security considerations.  Experience with server-side.  Experience with web services API integration (Rest, JSON, XML).  Ability to understand requirements and map to technical implementation.  Strong knowledge of best practices and modern web design trends is necessary.  Excel at rapid prototyping and at writing good code.  Experience with modern version control.  (GIT or BitBucket).  Experience with testing/debugging in multiple platforms.  Experience with HTML CSS frameworks such as bootstrap.  Understanding of general user experience and UI design principles.  Agile methodologies.  Self-motivated, thinking up and executing own ideas. 

Desired Candidate Profile Below are the qualifications and skills that are expedcte of a full-stack developer:

 Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field  Excellent knowledge of front-end web programming languages, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS, with ability to render server-side and client-side content  A working knowledge of shopify app development with technologies, Node, Javascript, React, HTML, CSS3, AWS etc and MongoDB or relevant databases.  Familiarity with common programming design patterns and best practices  Experience with common web development tools and services, such as version control software, package managers, and CI/CD pipelines  Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Expert in JavaScript, DOM, CSS3 and HTML
