Position : Java NLP Engineer

Location : Remote/Bangalore/Pune

Experience : 2+ Years

Responsibilities :

• Design and develop NLP solutions using Java or transition to Java-based development.
• Utilize NLP libraries like Stanford NLP, SpaCy, NLTK, or OpenNLP.
• Perform tasks like POS Tagging, Lemmatization, Dependency Parsing, and Phrase Chunking.
• Implement advanced NLP techniques, including text summarization and knowledge extraction.
• Develop rule-based NLP systems and analyze textual data.
• Apply graph algorithms to tasks such as semantic analysis and knowledge representation.
• Leverage resources like WordNet or ConceptNet for language models.
• Conduct information extraction using regular expressions.

Requirements :

• 2+ Years of experience in NLP (industry or academic).
• Proficiency in Java or readiness to adopt Java-based workflows.
• Expertise in syntactic analysis and NLP frameworks.
• Experience with text datasets and building NLP pipelines.
• Knowledge of graph algorithms and lexical databases (WordNet/ConceptNet preferred).
• Strong skills in crafting regular expressions for text extraction.
• Collaborative mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Deep and wide knowledge of Python ecosystem
• Can write code that is readable, maintainable, secure and performant
• Know the importance of tests and how to approach writing different types of tests
• Good intuition for REST API design
• Deep understanding of relational databases, transactions, entity-relationship modeling
• Comfortable writing highly concurrent systems
• Experienced in using profilers, tuning garbage collection, optimizing SQL queries

5. It is important they have those skills so that they can take over current work. There are codes written in both Java as well as Python. (Java is legacy but that is the main search engine code). So it will be counter-productive if engineers hired have experience in both.

• Has worked extensively on caching technologies such as Redis, memcache.

• Should be strong with Data Strcutures, Algorithms & OOPs concepts.

Job brief

As an Application Developer at Bridgei2i, you will participate in development and implementation of custom projects and products of Bridgei2i in Business Intelligence Applications. The role includes working closely with lead, testers, project managers, designers. 

You are expected to develop prototypes of the system design and work with lead, backend developers, testers and project managers as appropriate throughout development cycle. You will be developing bug free, maintainable, scalable web applications.

Requirements

• Working knowledge in JavaScript, CSS and HTML, Java/J2EE
• Experience of 1 + year's atleast in application development 
• Possess good knowledge of object-oriented design and development (OOA/OOD), algorithm and data structure
