About the role 

Engineer new products and features, improve existing products and features. Help improve performance and reliability, or polish existing features. What are we looking for? 

3+ years working as a backend or full stack developer. 

Bachelor/Masters of engineering.

Better - Full stack engineer 1 

You're proficient with any part of our technology stack: React/Swift, TypeScript, Node.js, and Postgres. 

We are location agnostic, but in the same time zone India). We have a small garden office @ Jayanagar, Bangalore (home to some of the best dosas in India) to jam together on anything that requires space. 

You are not fixated about any one programming language & can learn new tech as needed. 

You are somebody who shares the same ethos. 

Bonus 

You have expertise in video or audio engineering skills. 

You contribute to open source projects.

An initial 30 min call to understand each other at a high level.

Job Summary:

Greenie Startup is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of NodeJS, Distributed Systems, MongoDB, React, and other backend languages. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend applications for our platform.

Responsibilities:

●     Develop and maintain backend services using NodeJS, MongoDB, and other backend languages

●     Design and develop RESTful APIs for the platform

●     Work with the team to develop scalable and fault-tolerant distributed systems

●     Implement Authentication, Identity Management, and Authorization mechanisms for the platform

●     Collaborate with the front-end team to integrate the backend services with the user-facing application

●     Write clean and maintainable code with a focus on performance and scalability

Requirements:

●     Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

●     At least 5 years of experience in backend development

●     Strong understanding of NodeJS, MongoDB, and other backend languages

●     Experience with distributed systems and RESTful APIs

●     Experience with React is a plus

●     Strong understanding of Authentication, Identity Management, and Authorization mechanisms

●     Familiarity with Firewall Security and other security mechanisms

●     Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 14+ years of experience in Software Engineering with at least 6+ years as a Lead Enterprise Architect preferably in a software product company
• High technical credibility - ability to lead technical brainstorming, take decisions and push for the best solution to a problem
• Experience in architecting Microservices based E2E Enterprise Applications
• Experience in UI technologies such as Angular, Node.js or Fullstack technology is desirable
• Experience with NoSQL technologies (MongoDB, Neo4j etc.)
• Elastic Search, Kibana, ELK, Logstash.
• Good understanding of Kafka, Redis, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Solr etc.
• Exposure in SaaS cloud-based platform.
• Experience on Docker, Kubernetes etc.
• Experience in planning, designing, developing and delivering Enterprise Software using Agile Methodology
• Key Programming Skills: Java, J2EE with cutting edge technologies
• Hands-on technical leadership with proven ability to recruit and mentor high performance talents including Architects, Technical Leads, Developers
• Excellent team building, mentoring and coaching skills are a must-have

Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy, support, and implement web application projects
• Build scalable architecture, reusable patterns, and libraries for future use
• Conduct performance testing, review results, identify bottlenecks and report code
• Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues including authoring technical specifications
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Should have experience in restful JSON web services
• Should be competent in CI /CD tooling
• Experience working with 3rd party software integrations like REST APIs, SOAP APIs, XML, JSON

Understanding accessibility and security compliance

User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform

Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
