Role Overview

The Hydrologist / Drainage Planning Expert will lead hydrological, hydraulic, and drainage design

tasks across infrastructure, transportation, water resources, and urban development projects. The

role involves rainfall-runoff analysis, watershed delineation, hydraulic modelling, flood-risk evaluation,

stormwater drainage design, and integration of survey and geospatial datasets such as LiDAR, drone

imagery, DEMs, and topographic survey data. The candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary

teams and prepare technical reports, drawings, and engineering-ready deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct rainfall-runoff analysis using standard hydrological methods.

• Perform catchment delineation, infiltration assessment, and runoff estimation.

• Analyse rainfall, discharge, and historical flood data.

• Develop hydraulic models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, or equivalent tools.

• Design stormwater drainage systems including channels, culverts, and outfall structures.

• Prepare GL–IL sheets, drainage profiles, and hydraulic gradient calculations.

• Integrate survey datasets such as LiDAR, DEMs, and drone orthomosaics.

• Identify drainage bottlenecks and propose mitigation measures.

• Prepare hydrology reports, calculations, drawings, and GIS layers.

• Coordinate with GIS, CAD, LiDAR, Survey, and engineering teams.

• Conduct field visits for drainage assessment and validation.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

• Accuracy of hydrological and hydraulic calculations.

• Quality and completeness of drainage design deliverables.

• Timely submission of reports and drawings.

• Reduction of rework and improved dataset integration.

• Client acceptance of deliverables with minimal revisions.

• Effective interdisciplinary communication and coordination.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of hydrology, surface water drainage, and hydraulics.

• Knowledge of modelling tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, or MIKE.

• Proficiency in GIS tools (ArcGIS/QGIS) for terrain and watershed analysis.

• Ability to interpret LiDAR point clouds, DEMs, and topographic data.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D for drainage drawings.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

• Good communication and technical writing abilities.

Educational Qualifications

• M.Tech/M.Sc in Hydrology, Water Resources, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.

• B.Tech (Civil) with strong hydrology knowledge may also apply.

• Training/certifications in hydraulic modelling tools preferred.

Experience Requirements

• 3 to 12 years of experience in hydrology, drainage planning, stormwater modelling, or water

resource engineering.

• Experience integrating LiDAR/drone-based datasets is an added advantage.

Job Title: PostgreSQL Database Administrator

Experience: 6–8 Years

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL administration (6+ years).
• Excellent understanding of SQL and query optimization techniques.
• Deep knowledge of database services, architecture, and internals.
• Experience in performance tuning at both DB and OS levels.
• Familiarity with DataGuard or similar high-availability solutions.
• Strong experience in job scheduling and automation.
• Comfortable with installing, configuring, and upgrading PostgreSQL.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Linux system administration.
• Hands-on experience with shell scripting for automation and monitoring tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain PostgreSQL databases with 6+ years of hands-on experience.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Manage database storage structures and ensure optimal disk usage and performance.
• Monitor, analyze, and resolve database performance issues using tools and logs.
• Perform database tuning, configuration adjustments, and query optimization.
• Plan, schedule, and automate jobs using cron or other job scheduling tools at DB and OS levels.
• Install and upgrade PostgreSQL database software to new versions as required.
• Manage high availability and disaster recovery setups, including replication and DataGuard administration (or equivalent techniques).
• Perform regular database backups and restorations to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Apply security patches and updates on time.
• Collaborate with developers for schema design, stored procedures, and access privileges.
• Document configurations, processes, and performance tuning results.

Experience:

• Very strong hands on experience of web and mobile technologies: - HTML JavaScript,  HTML5/CSS3,OOJS.

• 5 + years of UI Development Experience using JavaScript Frameworks

• 3+ years of Angular Development Experience

• Strong in OOJS(Mandatory)

• Has implemented coding patterns and built UI framework

• Deep knowledge of AngularJS practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience

• Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system

• Creating custom, general use modules and components which extend the elements and modules of core AngularJS

• Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments

• Cooperating with the back-end developer in the process of building the RESTful API

Job Description

• Work as an Automation Engineer to ensure continuous delivery of the product.
• Create/Update the test environment, code and execute automated test scenarios.
• Execute functional tests and maintain test cases.
• Work with the quality, development and field teams to ensure product quality and usability.
• Monitor and track resolution of defects, and effectively communicate it in daily standup.
• Learn and use open source and cloud technologies as needed

Qualification and Experience Requirements

• Desired experience range is 4 to 8 years
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.
• Expertise in automation language, tool, and scripts such as Java, Selenium or TestCafe, Postman
• Must have proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate & report software application issues.
• Preferable but not necessary knowledge of any one of the public Cloud platforms either AWS, Azure or GCP is preferred.
• Preferable but not necessary knowledge and/or experience of a Security product
