Job Description: Business Development Manager

Position Overview:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our company. You will lead a dynamic team of Business Development Associates and Executives, overseeing their day-to-day activities and ensuring that they achieve their assigned targets. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and nurture relationships with both new and existing clients, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for strategizing and implementing initiatives to expand our client base and increase revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation and Relationship Building:

Receive leads from the company and actively engage with potential clients to build and maintain strong business relationships. Understand clients' needs, challenges, and goals to recommend suitable products or services.

2. Sales Process Management:

Guide clients through the sales funnel by negotiating terms, addressing objections, and providing necessary support to facilitate the closing of deals. Utilize effective sales techniques to maximize conversions and achieve sales targets.

3. Client Feedback and Database Management:

Record client feedback, preferences, and interactions in a comprehensive database. Use this information to tailor future interactions and improve customer satisfaction levels. Maintain accurate records of client communications and transactions.

4. Team Leadership and Management:

Supervise a team of 10-15 Business Development Associates and Executives, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to help them achieve individual and team targets. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for professional development.

5. Strategic Planning and Execution:

Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans for business development and client acquisition. Implement initiatives to enhance market presence, generate leads, and drive revenue growth.

6. Meeting Facilitation and Reporting:

Conduct daily morning meetings to align team objectives, communicate targets, and provide updates on performance metrics. Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue projections for management review.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to understand client requirements and propose suitable solutions.

- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Backend Development at PoshVine:

We are building payment-linked real-time engagement tools embedded within banking and payment journeys. Our core engineering team strives to build solid backend foundations, infrastructure and a solid network of microservices. Apart from regular work, you can expect:

• Freedom to evaluate and introduce new tools, libraries and coding standards.
• Work on developer productivity and platform tooling.
• Evangelise tech and share knowledge in internal and external forums.
• Contribute to Product and Design ideas and implement them like it’s your own product. 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

1. Be involved in product and design decisions, and drive implementations. 
2. Help us scale the payment-linked loyalty infrastructure to every payment product used in India. Develop platform features for/with reusable code.
3. Work with IT/tech SPOCs from Banks and Fintechs to achieve seamless API integrations, resolve concerns, and move forward with program delivery and implementation. 
4. Tag team with internal and external stakeholders to problem solve and work with banks to test out UAT/Production and create a rollout plan for the same. 
5. Perform in-depth research and identify sources off production issues surrounding the application. 
6. Make architectural decisions (microservices, choice of development frameworks and tools, database optimisations, load handling)
7. Proficient in Full stack development skills spanning the entire spectrum from:

1. Database: MySQL, PostgreSQL
2. Backend: Ruby on Rails
3. Front End: Web Development frameworks  (Angular / React / Vue JS)
4. Deployment: Capistrano, Chef, AWS, EC2, Git

You’ll be a good fit if you possess: 

1. A strong product design sense.
2. Good experience in working with Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Python.
3. Proven ability to understand end user requirements, formulate use cases and come up with effective solutions.
4. Good understanding of REST APIs and the web in general.
5. Ability to build a feature from scratch & drive it to completion.
6. A willingness to learn new technology, whatever lets you deliver the best product.
7. Possess excellent data management skills: 
1. How to structure databases that can scale
2. How to optimise database queries
3. Complying with the latest regulations around data for each geography
4. Managing the infrastructure that the data resides on to ensure 99.9% uptime across geographies
8. You are comfortable working on CI/CD toolchain, Kubernetes, etc.
9. 3+ years of experience.

• Must have worked in an environment where they know when to perform what kind of testing; say smoke, regression, integration, sanity
• Must have test plan, strategy, cases development experience.
• Knowledge on Android/iOS app testing (usage of Debugging tools relevant is added bonus)
• Must know to prioritize work items based on the business need
• Knows how to handle tough timelines situations and not compromise quality.
• Must have experience in product management methodology such as agilenon-process oriented environment
• Should have experience in any of the ALM tools such as TFS JIRA or even be open to build application reporting structure in excel.

• Run Re-Tests and Regression Tests.
