Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced App Developer with strong expertise in developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable applications. The candidate should have a proven track record in app development across platforms, hands-on technical proficiency, and the ability to lead and mentor development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mobile application development (Android, iOS, and cross-platform).
• Architect, design, and deliver scalable and secure app solutions.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless apps.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code while ensuring code reviews and best practices.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways and authentication services.
• Manage deployments and app store releases.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct technical training sessions.
• Stay current with latest frameworks, tools, and certifications relevant to app development.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

● Educational Background: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

● Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on mobile application development experience.

● Technical Skills:

• React Native, Native IOS & Andriod, React.js, AngularJS, Cordova, ExpressJS, ExtJS, Ionic, Java/J2EE, JMeter, JavaScript/jQuery, MongoDB/NoSQL DB, MySQL, PHP, PHP Yii, PL/SQL, React, Python, Dell Boomi, VB.NET.

Expertise in platforms/databases:

MySQL, MongoDB, Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker.

Relevant Functional/Domain Expertise:

• API Integration & Authentication.
• Localisation of applications.
• Payment Gateway & SMS Gateway Integration.
• Digital Signature Integration, E-Sign, DigiLocker.
• Offline service capabilities, Single Sign-On (SSO).
• Interoperability and E-Commerce systems.

● Soft Skills:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in developing test frameworks and automation for Android-based infotainment systems.
• Minimum 2+ years of C++ development experience with exposure to Android’s HAL.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, and Python.
• 1+ years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong understanding of Android Automotive System and Android Framework.
• In-depth knowledge of different Android components, including Services, Activities, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and RTOS concepts.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), and project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Mentoring skills to support and guide less experienced team members.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders and clients.

Android Services, System service and framework development, Broadcast using Java, Kotlin, C++ (Mandatory)

Experience in AOSP build setup & understanding of Android.bp, gradle, Android.mk (Mandatory)

IPC mechanism in Android: AIDL, JNI, HIDL, Socket Communication (Mandatory)

Experience in Android application development using Java & Kotlin (Mandatory)

Custom UI component development & understanding of MVVM architecture (Mandatory)

Flexible in customizing AOSP for product branding (Good to have)

RESTful service integration, Multithreading ,Message queueing (Good to have)

• Strong in Java and OPPs (Object Oriented Programming) Concept
• Knowledge of Android SDK and NDK
• Knowledge of JSON and XML

Principal duties and responsibilities:

• Design and implementation of automotive applications
• Analysis of customer product requirements
• Review and investigate issues in code developed by peers
• Partner closely with customers and other Cerence teams to establish and maintain clear, concise communication through regular reporting, meeting participation, and follow-up
• Adopt underlying layers for Android Automotive to run on customer hardware

Education: Bachelor/Master in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

Minimum years of work experience: 4+ years of industry experience

Required skills:

• 4 + years’ software development experience, preferably for automotive and in connection with user interface technologies
• Experience using modern development processes/tools and developing through the complete Software Development Life Cycle
• Experiences in programing and scripting languages (JAVA, Python, Typescript)
• Experience with using source control tools like Git and CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins
• Experience working in / Knowledge of Agile/Scrum framework
• Experience in Android development
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Strong object-oriented analysis, design, and coding skills
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• Strong team player and customer focus

Preferred skills:

• Good knowledge of Android Automotive platform
• Experience with VS Code
• Ability to set-up and hardware equipment in support of software development tasks (i.e. configure software on target device, connect cabling/power suppliers, etc.)

• Experience on Image Signal Processing techniques, image quality metrics, measurement techniques, and optimizations.
• Familiarity with image quality test programs 
• 3A algorithm improvement and troubleshooting 
• Knowledge of 3A algorithms, tuning experiences 
• Experience in Camera HAL 
• Experience in Camera Framework and Camera 2.0 API 
• Experience in Camera Device Drivers 
• Familiarity with ISP and Image Quality 
• Experience with Bringup of Camera Sensor on Any of chipset (QCOM, MTK)
• Strong knowledge of Linux Android Camera Stack. 
• Strong knowledge of Camera Application architecture in Android

Minimum Qualifications 

• B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech./MCA Computer Science or related fields 
• 2+ years Software Development Experience 
• 2+ years of experience with Imaging and Camera development, Programming Language such as C, C++, Python, etc
