Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Python Developer based in Gurugram. The Python Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain efficient back-end components, APIs, and systems that support the company's platform. This role requires a candidate with 2–4 years of hands-on project experience.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and comprehensive knowledge of Python programming.
• Hands on project experience of at least 2+ years is mandatory.
• Experience in Software Development with a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and principles.
• Experience with Django Framework is Mandatory.
• Familiarity with working on Databases, including designing, querying, and optimizing database performance.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail in coding and debugging processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile development environment.
• Understanding of front-end technologies and their integration with back-end services is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with a notice period of 15–20 days will be preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Help define and create Backend architecture and deployment using Python- Django-AWS in an agile environment with lots of ownership and active mentoring

• Work with the Product and Design teams to build new features to solve business problems and fill business needs

• Participate in code reviews to create robust and maintainable code

• Work in an agile environment where quick iterations and good feedback are a way of life

• Interact with other stakeholders for requirement, design discussions and for adoption of new features • Communicate and coordinate with our support and professional services teams to solve customer issues

• Help scale our platform as we expand our product across various markets and verticals globally

Core Focus:

• Operate with a full DevOps mindset, owning the software lifecycle from development through production support.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and global team collaboration, including on-call support.

Mandatory/Strong Technical Skills (6–8+ years of relevant experience required):

• Java: 4.5 to 6.5 years experience
• AWS: Strong knowledge and working experience with Cloud technologies minimum 2 years.
• Kafka: 2 years of Strong knowledge and working experience with data integration technologies
• Databases: Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB).

Other Key Technologies & Practices:

• Python, Spring Boot, and API-based system design.
• Containers/Orchestration (Kubernetes).
• CI/CD tools (Gitlab, Splunk, Datadog).
• Familiarity with Terraform and Airflow.
• Experience in Agile methodology (Jira, Confluence).

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience in Python (5+ years).
• Hands-on experience with any database (SQL or NoSQL).
• Experience with frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Knowledge of ORMs, API development, and unit testing.
• Familiarity with Git and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with the Kafka tool (Added Advantage)

Requirement:

• Min 2-3 Year Experience. Preferably in the E-commerce domain. 
• Proficient with both MySQL and NoSql Databases (Elastic, Mongo)
• Strong hold on PHP and preferably good knowledge of Python
• Experience with JavaScript/JQuery
• Ability to do software design for a enterprise web application
• Working knowledge of a MVC front-end framework
• Proficient in HTTP protocol, REST APIs, JSON
• Ability to do database design and modeling
• Proficient in OOPS concepts and writing code using classes
• Ability to write modular and clean code

Basic Qualifications

Candidates for this role must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• At least three years of experience writing production code of increasing complexity
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, complexity analysis, data structures, problem solving, and object-oriented analysis and design
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: Java, C, C++, C#, Ruby, Scala, Python
• Experience refactoring code and evolving architectures
• Experience crafting unit, integration, functional and regression tests

 Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Experience developing in a Linux environment
• Experience applying service-oriented architecture techniques to production use cases
• Experience in developing secure, multi-platform mobile applications
