As a Senior Python Developer / Tech Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our projects and guiding a talented team of engineers. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to build scalable, maintainable, and high-performance applications. You will be responsible for designing and implementing backend systems, code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring code quality across the development lifecycle.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Python, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Architect and implement microservices, APIs, and distributed systems to meet business requirements.
- Build and maintain complex data models and integrate with databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Lead the adoption of best practices in testing (unit, integration, functional), continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and automation.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code to improve performance and reliability.
- Ensure high code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and mentoring junior developers.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies and frameworks that enhance development productivity and system performance.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in software development with Python (preferably in backend or full-stack development).
- Solid experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.) and ORM frameworks (SQLAlchemy, Django ORM).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Strong understanding of testing frameworks (unittest, pytest, etc.) and TDD/BDD principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technical innovation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native solutions.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (React, Angular, etc.) for full-stack development.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization for large-scale applications.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
