Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong Node.js experience to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications and APIs.

You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other engineering teams to design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Work with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and production problems.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs with web/mobile applications.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
• Work with Git and standard CI/CD and deployment processes.
• Contribute to system design and technical discussions.

Required Skills

• 2–6 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, and API design.
• Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar Node.js frameworks.
• Good understanding of relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of SQL and database design.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as JWT/OAuth.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and backend architecture.

Good to Have

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Knowledge of AWS / Azure / GCP.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other caching/message queue technologies.
• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning.
• Providing technical support to customers for Applications, Operating systems, and networking.
• Will also be the first point of contact for our clients, where installations are placed on a permanent basis, for basic troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Fault finding, analysis and logging information for reporting of performance exceptions.
• Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments.

Skills & Qualification Required (Add Value) :

• Graduate - Preferred to have Bachelor‘s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• He / She should be familiar with the installation and configuration of Linux operating systems and setup and operation of TCP/IP networking on Linux systems also familiar with Internet concepts including SMTP, IMAP, POP, HTTP, DNS, LDAP and related protocols.
