AWS DevOps Engineer (1–2 Years Experience)

We are looking for a motivated AWS DevOps Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
• Work with containerization tools like Docker
• Assist in deployment and orchestration using Kubernetes
• Monitor applications and infrastructure performance
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes
• Automate infrastructure using scripts and DevOps tools

Required Skills

• 1–2 years experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering
• Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services services such as EC2, S3, IAM
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Knowledge of container tools like Docker
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell / Python)

Good to Have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, containerization, and orchestration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, automating, and maintaining scalable cloud solutions, ensuring smooth CI/CD pipelines, and supporting development and operations teams.

Core Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS.

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.

Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments with Kubernetes (EKS, self-managed, or other distributions).

Monitor system performance, availability, and security using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack.

Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and deployment processes.

Required Skills & Experience

3–4 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.

Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, EKS, etc.).

Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS or self-hosted clusters).

Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design and automation.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / AWS CloudFormation).

Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.

Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.

Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancing, Security Groups, Firewalls).

Basic programming/scripting experience in Python, Bash, or Go.

Nice to Have

Exposure to microservices architecture and service mesh (Istio/Linkerd).

Knowledge of serverless (AWS Lambda, API Gateway).

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• 2+ years experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, RDS, Elastic Cache, etc)
• Well versed with maintaining infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloudformation, etc)
• Experience in setting CI/CD pipelines from scratch
• Knowledge of setting up and securing networks (VPN, Intranet, VPC, Peering, etc)
• Understanding of common security issues

• Provision Dev Test Prod Infrastructure as code using IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
• Good knowledge on Terraform
• In-depth knowledge of security and IAM / Role Based Access Controls in Azure, management of Azure Application/Network Security Groups, Azure Policy, and Azure Management Groups and Subscriptions.
• Experience with Azure and GCP compute, storage and networking (we can also look for GCP )
• Experience in working with ADLS Gen2, Databricks and Synapse Workspace
• Experience supporting cloud development pipelines using Git, CI/CD tooling, Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tooling as appropriate
• Configuration Management (e.g. Jenkins, Ansible, Git, etc...)
• General automation including Azure CLI, or Python, PowerShell and Bash scripting
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery models
• Knowledge of and experience in resolving configuration issues
• Understanding of software and infrastructure architecture
• Experience in Paas, Terraform and AKS
• Monitoring, alerting and logging tools, and build/release processes Understanding of computing technologies across Windows and Linux

Job description

The role requires you to design development pipelines from the ground up, Creation of Docker Files,  design and operate highly available systems in AWS Cloud environments. Also involves Configuration Management, Web Services Architectures, DevOps Implementation, Database management, Backups, and Monitoring.

Key responsibility area
- Ensure reliable operation of CI/CD pipelines
- Orchestrate the provisioning, load balancing, configuration, monitoring and billing of resources in the cloud environment in a highly automated manner
- Logging, metrics and alerting management.
- Creation of Bash/Python scripts for automation
- Performing root cause analysis for production errors.

Requirement
- 2 years experience as Team Lead.
- Good Command on kubernetes.
- Proficient in Linux Commands line and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in AWS Services. Deployment, Monitoring and troubleshooting applications in AWS.
- Hands-on experience with CI tooling preferably with Jenkins. 
- Proficient in deployment using Ansible.
- Knowledge of infrastructure management tools (Infrastructure as cloud) such as terraform, AWS cloudformation etc.
- Proficient in deployment of applications behind load balancers and proxy servers such as nginx, apache. 
- Scripting languages: Bash, Python, Groovy.
- Experience with Logging, Monitoring, and Alerting tools like ELK(Elastic-search, Logstash, Kibana), Nagios. Graylog, splunk Prometheus, Grafana is a plus.

Must Have:
Linux, CI/CD(Jenkin), AWS, Scripting(Bash,shell Python, Go), Ngnix, Docker.
