Sr. Backend Developer for a Product Based Company ( Node.js )

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side applications using Go Lang.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code that adheres to best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Go Lang development.
• Proven experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan,create and test REST APIs for back-end services such as authentication and authorization.
• Deploy and maintain backend systems on the cloud.
• Research and develop solutions for real life business problems.
• Creating and maintaining our apps' essential business logic, providing correct data processing and flawless user experiences.
• Database design, implementation, and management, including schema design, query optimisation and data integrity.
• Participating in code reviews, providing constructive input, and ensuring that code quality standards are met.
• Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices to bring new solutions to our initiatives.

Required skills and experience - 

Must have skills : -

• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
• 3 + years of experience in backend development.
• Proficient in Python,Mongodb,postgres/sql,Django and Flask
• Knowledge on nginx.
• C++/C +Cython for creating python modules
• Knowledge on Redis
• Familiarity with using AI provider apis and prompt engineering
• Experience in working with linux based instances on the cloud.
• Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or with a group.

Good to have skills :- 

• Experience in node.js and Java 
• AWS and Google cloud knowledge.

That’s where you come in. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to lead our transition to a Go-based microservices architecture. You will be the driving force behind our most critical systems—the prediction engine, the rewards ledger, the real-time data pipelines. While our roots are in Node.js, our future is in Go, and you will be instrumental in building that future.

• Architect our core backend in Golang: You will design and build the services that are the backbone of the BeBetta experience, ensuring they are blazingly fast and incredibly reliable.

• Drive technical strategy: You will own the roadmap for evolving our architecture, including the thoughtful migration of essential services from Node.js to Go.

What You'll Bring:

• A track record of building and deploying high-performance backend systems in Golang.
• Senior-level experience (4+ years) in system design, microservices, and API development.
• Pragmatic experience with Node.js and an understanding of how to manage and migrate a monolithic or service-based system.
• Deep knowledge of database principles (PostgreSQL preferred) and high-performance data access patterns (using tools like Redis).
• Expertise in modern infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, and a major cloud provider (GCP/AWS).
• A strong belief that testing, observability, and clean architecture are not optional.
• An innate curiosity and a passion for solving complex problems, whether they're in code or on a whiteboard.

Hands-on working knowledge and experience is required in:

a. JavaScript, Typescript, NodeJS (Express, NestJs, etc. )

b. Experience working in GCP or AWS or Azure

c. Experience working in Containers & Unix Platforms

d. Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL, etc. )

e. Agile Methodologies (Scrum, TDD, BDD, etc. )

f. Understanding of Microservices Architecture, Domain Driver Design, Test Driven Development and Secure Design patterns and architecture is a must

g. Data Structures and Algorithms using Javascript, Typescript and/or other Programing Languages

h. Strong organizational skills i. Agile Methodologies (Scrum, TDD, BDD, etc. )

Experience with several of the following tools/technologies is desirable:

a. GIT (Bit Bucket, Gitlab, etc. ), Jira, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, SharePoint, Eclipse/IntelliJ.

b. Design Patterns and implementing the Design Patterns

c. Development of Complex Application and System Architectures

d. NoSQL Databases (Redis, Mongo, etc. ) e. Full stack development

f. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines with for example GitHub Actions.

Knowledge of the following technologies is a plus:

a. Other Programming Languages (Java, Python, etc. )

b. Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Tools like Jenkins, Git, etc

• Good experience on RESTful services
• .Hands on experience on NodeJs
• .Should have previous working experience on Sql and Postgresql  
•  Must have relevant experience in NodeJS from 3-5years.
