About The Role:

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Azodha, you’ll play a key role in architecting, solutioning and driving development of our AI led interoperable digital enablement platform.You will work closely with the founder/CEO to refine the product vision, drive product innovation, delivery and grow with a strong technical team.

What You’ll Do:

* Technical Excellence: Design, develop, and scale backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, including REST and GraphQL APIs. Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and high-performing.

* Data Management and Integrity: Work with Prisma or TypeORM, and relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL

* Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends in backend development, incorporating new technologies where appropriate. Drive innovation and efficiency within the team

* Utilize ORMs such as Prisma or TypeORM to interact with database and ensure data integrity.

* Follow Agile sprint methodology for development.

* Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.

* Optimize API performance for optimal user experiences.

* Participate in the entire development lifecycle, from initial planning , design and maintenance 

* Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure system stability.

* Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high quality releases.

* Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, offering technical expertise and constructive feedback.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, software Engineering, or a related field.

* 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Node.js and TypeScript.

* Experience working on Postgres or My SQL.

* Proficiency in TypeScript and its application in Node.js

* Experience with ORM such as Prisma or TypeORM.

* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

* Ability to work independently and in a team oriented, fast-paced environment.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Self motivated and proactive attitude.

Preferred:

* Experience with other backend technologies and languages.

* Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment process.

* Contributions to open-source projects related to backend development.

Job Overview

We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer to join our team in developing backend servicing. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js. The ideal candidate is passionate about distributed systems, has experience with backend services and is excited about optimising applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth operation of production systems.

• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in backend development, Node.js, and related ecosystems

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in backend development, with at least 4 years of experience using Node.js.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience with web frameworks such as Express.js.
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with excellent communication skills.

Skills & Qualifications

• 4-12 years of experience in Java Development.

• Excellent verbal and written English communication is a must. You may have to interact with clients directly.

• Technology agnostic approach is a must. Ready to adopt new technology and a faster learning curve.

• Writing scalable, maintainable and reusable code.

• Keen interest in SAAS based products and mobile applications.

• Experience working with Distributed Systems

• Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, API Design Experience with Event-Driven Architecture, Multithreading

• Kafka iOS Experience with Event Sourcing Reactive and Functional

• Programming Strong understanding of best practices for creating/working with Microservices

• Experience implementing Message Brokers and Messaging subsystems(experience working with Kafka a strong plus)

• Be open-minded, creative, and self-critical; be collaborative and communicative

• Have experience with and curiosity about agile and lean philosophies

• Experience working with small teams to ship products to market

• Have experience developing full-service consumer, employee and business applications

• Language agnostic and experienced polyglot Passion for Working Software and SOLID principles

CTC:

8.5-10.5 LPA based on experience and on performance in the interview round (70% Fixed - 30% Variable Incentive based on delivery schedule) (We do ZERO deductions since the salary will be paid from Singapore)

At this position you will:

• Get solid experience with high-load distributed architecture using REST and Kafka services.
• Work with automated CI/CD processes, AWS cloud, and VoIP.
• Implement and support microservices based on Spring MVC, Camel, MySQL, Mongo, and Kafka.

Requirement

• At least 1 year of experience with Java Core, Java EE, Spring Core, Spring Boot.
• Not more than 3 years of experience in Java Core, Java EE, Spring Core, Spring Boot.
• Deep understanding of SQL database technologies.
