REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: 4.1-7 years
• Must have Skills: JavaScript ES6, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, Node JS
• Strong technical background with node.js, event loop understanding, unit testing, developing web application & APIs, event & stream, call-back & closures, promise, async/await, accessing file system, Optimization techniques.
• Strong experience in JavaScript, Express.js, GraphQL
• Strong knowledge of REST, microservices, cloud development and design patterns
• Comfortable using modern tools and platforms such as Docker, Jenkins, Gitlab CI, etc.
• Comfortable using agile methodologies.
• Understanding of different components such as web server, storages, integrations
• Should have worked on designing and building server-side solutions (in any technology), build process of node.js, CI/CD process of node.js, multi-tasking (working on multiple things at same time)
• Good knowledge of functional and Object-Oriented Programming
• Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
• Running diagnostic tests, repairing defects, and providing technical support.
• Recommending and implementing improvements to processes and technologies.
• Keeping informed of advancements in the field of Node.js development.
• Familiarity with Azure pipeline
• Should have experience in Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas and sketching out ideas for automated software test procedures. Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas.
• Knowledge of high-quality professional software engineering practices for agile software development cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment.
• Fundamental knowledge of design patterns
• Experience in communicating effectively with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
• Mentoring the team members to meet the client's needs and holding them accountable for high standards of delivery.
• Being able to understand and relate technology integration scenarios and be able to apply these learnings in complex troubleshooting scenarios.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Writing and reviewing great quality code
• Understanding functional requirements thoroughly and analysing the client’s needs in the context of the project.
• Envisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements, and being able to define technologies, patterns, and frameworks to realize it.
• Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets
• Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities.
• Being able to lead/support UAT and production roll outs.
• Creating, understanding, and validating WBS and estimated effort for given module/task, and being able to justify it.
• Addressing issues promptly, responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement
• Giving constructive feedback to the team members and setting clear expectations.
• Helping the team in troubleshooting and resolving of complex bugs
• Coming up with solutions to any issue that is raised during code/design review and being able to justify the decision taken.
• Carrying out POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements.

Our core customer-facing product today is a native Android application. In addition to this, we are building internal tools for customer support, investment management, marketing analytics and business management. In the future, we plan to hugely expand the features in our core product, build iOS and web products, and continuously improve our internal tools to better serve our customers.

For our back-end, we use Node.js / MySQL / AWS. We are currently a 3-member engineering team (1 back-end, 1 Android, 1 full stack) led by our founding engineer and advised by a senior technology executive from a leading fintech company.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve our software applications
• Build reusable libraries and frameworks that support complex web applications
• Set-up our technology infrastructure and integrate with 3rd party applications
• Contribute to internal discussions around product features, roadmap and technologies used
• Mentor & recruit engineers to the team
• Set up processes related to engineering & product

Skills / Required Experience:

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent, with solid foundational knowledge in at least two general programming languages, data structures, algorithms, system architecture, security and networking protocols.
• At least 6 years of back-end development experience in a software product company is required for this role.
• Exposure to modern software development processes, multiple front-end and back-end technologies, and open-source software.
• Proficiency with tools like Gitlab/Jira/Firebase, as well as AWS and commonly used database systems etc. is required
• Experience in an early-stage startup or having founded your own startup would be good to have (but not necessary).

• 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in automating MS Office applications like Excel, Word, PPT and Outlook using VBA
• 5 plus years of experience in the design, development, and implementation of programming code
• Experience in database development
• VBA - Should have good experience in developing efficient logic/algorithms using VBA
• Solid understanding of SDLC concepts
• Solid experience in MS Excel (2003, 2007, 2010, 2013,2016)
• Must be good at all excel features and excel formulas
• Well versed with complete MS Office package (Excel, Word, Outlook, PPT)
• Work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience in requirements gathering, effort estimate, designing and implementation, and creating mock-up screens
• Experience in databases like MS SQL Server(2005 to 2012,2014), MySQL, and MS Access
• Must have strong database concepts and DB designing skills
• SQL - must be good at writing efficient, fine-tuned queries using joins and aggregates
• Experience in writing Stored procedures, Triggers and T-SQL
• Nice to have programming knowledge in C# coding should be MANDATORY
• working with C# DLL development and integration with Excel VBA
