Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced AWS Aurora PostgreSQL DBA to manage, optimize, and support enterprise database environments hosted on AWS.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PostgreSQL, AWS RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, database performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, security, and production support.

Mandatory Skills :

• 4 to 5+ years of experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration.

• Strong SQL expertise, including query optimization, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
• Experience with Aurora clustering, Multi-AZ deployments, read replicas, failover management, backup, and recovery.
• Hands-on experience with AWS CloudWatch and Aurora Performance Insights.
• Strong understanding of database security, encryption, IAM controls, audit logging, and compliance practices.
• Experience in production support, incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Scripting/automation experience using Python, Shell Script, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of AWS DMS, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience supporting Master Data Governance (MDG) or enterprise data platforms.
• Experience working in healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
• Exposure to AWS services such as Redshift, DynamoDB, and S3.
• AWS Certified Database Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and support AWS Aurora PostgreSQL environments, including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, scaling, and maintenance.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and proactive monitoring.
• Implement and maintain high availability, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure database reliability and availability.
• Collaborate with application, cloud, and data engineering teams to support deployments and production releases.
• Automate routine DBA activities and improve operational efficiency using scripting and AWS-native tools.

Job Responsibilities : 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI and API automation frameworks from scratch.
• Build and execute automated test suites for frontend, backend, and API applications using tech stacks like Playwright, Selenium, Puppeteer, Postman, Newman, and Bruno.
• Develop automation for web applications, APIs, and distributed microservices.
• Perform white-box and black-box testing to ensure application quality.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Newman and Bruno CLI.
• Identify, track, and resolve defects while improving test stability, execution speed, and overall automation efficiency.
• Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and product managers to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Mentor junior QA engineers, review automation scripts, and promote best practices in quality engineering.
• Drive continuous improvements in automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and engineering processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience as an SDET, Automation Engineer, or Full-Stack QA.
• Hands-on experience with UI automation using Playwright, Selenium, and/or Puppeteer.
• Strong experience in API testing and automation using Postman / Newman or Bruno.
• Proficient in JavaScript for building automation scripts, API test assertions, and test utilities.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, authentication mechanisms (JWT/OAuth), and microservices architecture.
• Experience with white-box and black-box testing, and automation design patterns such as Page Object Model (POM).
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) and modern testing practices.
• Experience with Git and integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Working knowledge of SQL for database validation and backend testing.

• As a Senior Software Test Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to test/qualify new products and enhancements to existing products as part of a cross functional team. You are required to verify and validate software changes for new products, enhancements and defects.
• Responsible for verifying that the software complies with the requirements and that the various customer use-cases can be satisfactorily met by the software.
• Work very closely with the project/baseline manager and development team to understand the architecture and design of the system and the interaction between various software sub-systems and components.
• Prepare and execute test plans for software releases, document and automate test cases to exercise the various features and capabilities of the software, identify and capture bugs and related information in the bug tracking database.
• Develop higher complexity test cases, test suite selection and execute all necessary testing activity required for a customer software release (negative and backward compatibility scenarios) per assignment, group objectives and product requirements.
• Document, enhance and maintain regression test procedures over the lifecycle of the software.
• Execute the software release test plans and certify that a software release has met the quality criterion(s) for various phase exits (pre-alpha, alpha, beta).
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
• Independently manage schedule for his/her projects and deliverables, seamlessly works with all key stakeholders to ensure delivery is never on the critical path
• Consistently look out for areas of improvement in all areas of software product development and processes, champions implementation of identified best practices
