What you’ll actually do (no fluff)

• Build core product features end-to-end (backend, logic, edge cases, scale)
• Own parts of the system — not “tickets”, but decisions
• Work on performance-critical flows (orders, webhooks, queues)
• Debug real production issues with real consequences

Tech (what we use today)

• Backend: Node.js
• Database: MongoDB, Apollo
• Infrastructure: AWS (Lambda, SQS), Redis
• Frontend (secondary): React

What we’re looking for

You should have:

• 5–7 years of real production experience
• Experience building systems that didn’t fall apart at scale
• Comfort debugging messy, real-world issues
• Good judgment > fancy abstractions
• Ability to work independently without constant direction

Bonus if you:

• Have worked on SaaS or developer tools
• Understand e-commerce flows
• Have opinions (and can defend them calmly)

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience to a maximum of 10 years of experience in the technologies that we work with
• Proven working experience in programming – Full Stack
• Top-notch programming and analytical skills
• Must know and have experience in AngularJS 2 onwards
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object-Oriented Programming and web application development
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
• B.Tech in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent

Security Innovation is hiring a full-stack Django/Python developer to join our internal tools and automation development lead to improve and maintain our reporting portal and build new and exciting customer-facing features. Our reporting portal is a critical piece of our Application Security Assessment team infrastructure, it helps us to automate attacks and drives the authoring and reviewing process of almost every document we write and deliver to our customers. We have an exciting roadmap of new features that will help automate more attacks and improve the efficiencies for our Security Engineers, Project Managers, and the company as a whole.

Working closely with our engineers, other developers, Director of Services, SVP of Engineering, and CFO, you will help deliver valuable features from a growing list of features. You will be involved in choices that drive our front-end design, improvements in our CI/CD pipeline, and building and integrating new and novel scanners and automation.

• 2+ years of production web development experience
• Experience developing internal tools
• A public repository of code or a portfolio of applications or websites

• Expertise in Django, Python 3, Linux, HTML, CSS
