What You’ll Do:

Build, Innovate, and Own:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices in a modern .NET/C# environment.
• Architect and optimize data pipelines and storage solutions that power our AI-driven products.
• Collaborate closely with AI and data teams to bring machine learning models into production systems.
• Build integrations with external services and APIs to enable scalable, interoperable solutions.
• Ensure robust security, scalability, and observability across distributed systems.
• Stay ahead of the curve — evaluating emerging technologies and contributing to architectural decisions for our next-gen platform.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Provide technical guidance and code reviews that raise the bar for quality and performance.
• Help create a growth-minded engineering culture that encourages experimentation, learning, and accountability.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years designing and maintaining scalable backend systems using C#/.NET and microservices architecture.
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores.
• Solid hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proven ability to design for performance, reliability, and security in data-intensive systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.

Set Yourself Apart With:

• Startup experience - specifically in building product from 0-1
• Exposure to AI/ML-powered systems, data engineering, or large-scale data processing.
• Experience in healthcare or fintech domains.

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the technical design and development of our core SaaS platform. In this role, you will be responsible for making critical architectural decisions, mentoring other engineers, and ensuring our application is built for massive scale and high performance. You are not just a coder; you are a technical leader who will shape the future of our product and drive our engineering culture forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and design of highly scalable, secure, and resilient full-stack web applications.
• Take ownership of major features and system components, from technical strategy through to deployment and long-term maintenance.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Drive technical strategy and make key decisions on technology stacks, frameworks, and infrastructure.
• Engineer and implement solutions specifically for SaaS scalability, including microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and efficient cloud resource management.
• Establish and champion best practices for code quality, automated testing, and robust CI/CD pipelines.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development, with a proven track record of building and launching complex SaaS products.
• Deep expertise in both front-end (React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end (Node.js, Python, Java, Go) technologies.
• Expert-level knowledge of designing and scaling applications on a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven, hands-on experience architecting for scale, including deep knowledge of microservices architecture, message queues, and database scaling strategies (e.g., sharding, replication).
• In-depth understanding of database technologies (both SQL and NoSQL) and how to choose the right one for the job.
• Expertise in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines and advocating for DevOps principles.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A passion for solving complex problems and a proactive, self-starter attitude.

About Us:

We’re looking to hire someone to help scale Machine Learning and NLP efforts at Episource. You’ll work with the team that develops the models powering Episource’s product focused on NLP driven medical coding. Some of the problems include improving our ICD code recommendations , clinical named entity recognition and information extraction from clinical notes.

This is a role for highly technical engineers who combine outstanding oral and written communication skills, and the ability to code up prototypes and productionalize using a large range of tools, frameworks, and languages. Most importantly they need to have the ability to autonomously plan and organize their work assignments based on high-level team goals.

What you will do at Episource:

You will be responsible for setting an agenda to develop and build machine learning platforms that positively impact the business, working with partners across the company including operations and engineering. You will be working closely with the machine learning team to design and implement back end components and services. You will be evaluating new technologies, enhancing the applications, and providing continuous improvements to produce high quality software.

Required Skills:

• Strong background in analytics, BI or data science deployments is preferable with 2-6 years of experience

• Knowledge of React/Vue, HTML, CSS

• Experience building and consuming APIs 

• Experience with MySQL, MongoDB and MEAN stack 

• Knowledge and experience with serverless architectures is a plus

• Hands-on experience with AWS or any major cloud service provider for deploying solutions

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes in deploying solutions on the cloud

• Hands-on experience Python, Apache Spark & Big Data platforms to manipulate large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.

• Fluent in data fundamentals: SQL, data manipulation using a procedural language, statistics, experimentation, and modeling
