Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and skilled PHP Laravel Developer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality web applications while adhering to best coding and security practices.

Required Skills (hand-on experience in the following):

• Languages & Frameworks: PHP, Laravel
• Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX/Fetch, jQuery
• Database: MySQL
• MVC architecture, Design Patterns, Authentication, Eloquent ORM, Providers, Middleware, Supervisor, Cron Jobs
• API integration and Web Services (REST, JSON, etc.)
• Postman for API testing
• Version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket, including branching and merging
• Knowledge of operating systems, hosting, and deployment on cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent practical experience.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in Laravel development.

PHP / Laravel / CI developer duties and responsibilities

• Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications on portal plus premium service platforms.
• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the frontend development team.
• Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications.
• Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools.
• Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API.
• Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support.
• Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues.
• Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.
• Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager.

PHP / Laravel / CI developer requirements and qualifications

• Previous working experience as a PHP(Laravel/CI) developer for minimum 3 years.
• Proficient with JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX.
• In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP (>=Laravel 7 or >=CI 4.0) framework.
• Should know about source version control like GIT or SVN
• Familiar with AWS & Linux command line will be added advantage.
• Understanding and implementing security and data protection
• Must be a team player with good communications.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and manage highly trafficked, highly scalable web properties with PHP5 using Laravel/ZEND CodeIgniter/Yii/Symfony framework.
• Understand the specifications to define system requirements.
• Collaborate and communicate project updates and progress to team members and clients.
• Analyze, design, code, debug, test, document and deploy changes to the system.

• Experience working with Lamp Stack/PHP code
• Proficiency in Magento and/or WordPress is strongly preferred
• Involved in requirement analysis, design and development
• Involved in sending form data to restful API using Ajax calls
• Have experience in CSS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Jquery Mobile, Bootstrap
• Design, population, updating & editing of relational databases and RDBMS like SQL, MySql.
• Experience with using server like XAMPP is a Plus
• Known with usage of web technology like Ajax with PHP
• Having an experience with building Responsive UI Design with industry standard frameworks
• Work in a team environment creating and supporting enterprise grade applications
• Help architect, design new applications and support existing applications

Ideal candidate should be comfortable with Code Igniter, MySQL.

Additional Requirement - CI with installation process

Experience 3 to 5 yrs

• The successful applicant will be responsible for the technical delivery of all development assignments allocated to him in a timely fashion, while meeting rigorous quality targets.
• Unit testing of code - Working with very large and complex SQL databases
• Troubleshooting through resolution of technical issues and system errors
• Performing testing, documentation, and mentoring/grooming/coaching less technical staff where applicable
• Work with Architects, Project Managers, and other Developers to estimate the level of effort necessary to implement assigned work packages.
• Write efficient, clean, tested code that follows high standards and quality requirements

Specific Skillset Required

Minimum 2-3 Years of strong hands-on experience on:

• PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML 5, Ajax, JSON
• PHP framework preferably Laravel

Strong Fundamental knowledge required

• Web development experience in Core PHP, Mysql, MVC architecture.
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures
• Implementation of Service Integration of an on Demand Web Application
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as (Git / SVN / Bitbucket)
• Experience in developing cross-browser-compatible web applications in HTML, CSS
• Experience developing and deploying solutions/applications across various environments (on-premises and cloud (AWS, Azure, Alibaba, GCP etc.)
