We are looking for an Experienced Quantitative Researcher to develop, test, and optimize quantitative trading strategies—primarily for APAC markets. The ideal candidate brings strong mathematical thinking, hands-on trading experience, and a track record of building profitable models.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, design & develop quantitative trading strategies
• Analyse large datasets and build predictive models / regression models
• Implement models in Python / C++ / Matlab
• Monitor, execute, and improve existing trading strategies
• Collaborate closely with traders, developers, and researchers
• Optimize trading systems, reduce latency, and enhance execution
• Identify new trading opportunities across listed products
• Oversee and manage risk for options, equities, futures, and other instruments

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3+ years experience on a high-volume equities, futures, options, or market-making desk
• Strong background in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or related field (PhD)
• Proven track record of profitable real-world trading strategies
• Strong programming experience: C++, Python, R, Matlab
• Experience with automated trading systems and exchange protocols
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment
• Excellent analytical skills, precision, and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain server-side applications, APIs, and databases.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Develop RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or other web services that integrate with databases and external services.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code while following best practices for backend development.
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
• Ensure the security of applications, databases, and data handling practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and development environments.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the backend code.
• Work with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and optimize database queries for performance.

Job Overview: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Engineering to lead the development of our innovative and disruptive cross-border trading platform at Hectar Global. This person will be responsible for spearheading all technical aspects of the project, from architecture and infrastructure to data and machine learning.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, including hiring, training, and mentoring
• Design and implement the technical architecture of the cross-border trading platform
• Ensure the platform is scalable, efficient, and secure
• Oversee the development of data models and machine learning algorithms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and design, to ensure the platform meets user needs and is visually appealing and easy to use
• Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and user manuals
• Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering, machine learning, and data science

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on web applications and machine learning
• Proven track record of leading and managing a team of engineers
• Expertise in software architecture and design patterns
• Experience with data modeling and machine learning techniques
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred qualifications:

• Design, build and maintain software applications.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.

• Leveraging customer insights to anticipate needs and obstacles within the path to purchase and designing strategies to target the obstacles and share knowledge with key stakeholders
• Interpreting the user journey to better understand and improve the customer experience (through digital engagements) and touch points that move consumers down the funnel to increase conversions
• Resolving gaps in the total customer experience to optimize the experience
• Facilitating the buying journey for products and/or services by understanding the key benefits of the offers
• Developing illustrations, logos and other designs
• Using the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic

Desired Candidate Profile

• Proven graphic designing experience of 3-7 years
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premier Photoshop)
• Good at developing illustrations, logos, and other designs
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines

About the Role:

• Create Visual Brand Identity

• Conceptualise a creative direction for Testing Ground’s projects
• Conceptualise and design branding/marketing materials for both print and web related marketing material
• Produce new artwork based on brand guidelines agreed with our team
• Create print and digital advertising materials

• Develop Key Visuals and Collaterals for Marketing Campaigns and Events

• Assist in the management of website, newsletters and all other company materials, where necessary
• Design all graphic, sales and marketing materials e.g. EDM / Posters / Banners
• Work with us in crafting visually compelling presentations

• Manage Design from Concept to Production

• Work according to briefs for the branding needs and guidelines
• Ensure design specifications are production-ready
• Engage with external printers or contractors/suppliers/vendors to ensure the highest quality of materials and that deadlines are met
• Proper documentation of all design files

·        Deep knowledge of Web Application Architecture and Object oriented design. Should have practical knowledge of design on more than two web applications.
·        Should be able to technically lead a small group of members

• Responsible for the implementation of end-to-end modules starting from user interface, business logic layer and database layer.
• Proficient in HTML, javascript.
• React JS experience is an added advantage.
• Assists in research, design, documentation, and modification of software specifications throughout the software development life cycle.
• Analyzes, troubleshoots, and optimizes code.
• Participates in requirements gathering meetings and produces technical documentation as needed.
