About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Tech Lead to lead a small engineering team and drive the development of AI-powered applications, internal technology platforms, and modern IT solutions. The Tech Lead will be responsible for technical direction, architecture, development, code quality, team management, and end-to-end delivery of technology projects. The ideal candidate should have strong programming experience, particularly in Python and ReactJS, along with practical experience working with AI/ML technologies.

1. Technical Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of developers and technical team members.
• Own technical delivery across multiple projects and initiatives.
• Assign tasks, review progress, resolve technical blockers, and ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
• Mentor team members and support their technical growth.

2. Software Development & Architecture

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and maintainable applications.
• Lead backend development using Python and frontend development using ReactJS.
• Define application architecture, technology choices, APIs, integrations, and development standards.
• Review technical designs and ensure high-quality implementation.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive effective solutions.

3. AI & Technology

• Lead the development and integration of AI-powered applications and solutions.
• Work with AI/ML models, APIs, LLMs, Generative AI, and related technologies.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies and identify opportunities for practical implementation.
• Collaborate with product and business teams to translate requirements into AI-enabled technology solutions.

4. Project Delivery

• Own the complete technology lifecycle from requirements and architecture to development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Plan sprints, estimate development efforts, and track technical milestones.
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure projects meet timelines, quality standards, security requirements, and performance expectations.

5. Engineering Quality & Infrastructure

• Establish standards for coding, testing, documentation, version control, and deployment.
• Ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and secure. l Collaborate on cloud infrastructure, APIs, databases, CI/CD, and deployment processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance and engineering efficiency.

Technical Skills – Must Have

About the Role We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Senior AI/ML Tech Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge Generative AI applications. In this dual-impact role, you wi l act as a primary individual contributor architecting core AI engines while simultaneously leading a team of engineers through task alocation, code reviews, and technical mentorship. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between state-of-the-art AI research (LLMs, Agentic frameworks, Advanced RAG, OCR) and production-grade ful-stack engineering (Python, FastAPI, React).

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Team Management (40%)

● Technical Oversight: Lead a team of AI, backend, and ful-stack engineers; alocate tasks, establish sprint priorities, and ensure timely delivery.

● Code Quality & Reviews: Conduct rigorous code reviews to maintain high engineering standards, security, performance, and scalability across AI and fu l-stack codebases.

● Architecture & Governance: Design end-to-end system architectures for AI solutions, ensuring seamless integration between frontend interfaces, backend APIs, and AI models.

● Mentorship: Guide and upskil team members on modern software practices, LLM engineering, and agentic design patterns. Hands-On Engineering & Development (60%)

● Generative AI & Agentic Systems: Architect, build, and optimize LLM-powered applications, multi-agent workflows (e.g., CrewAI, AutoGen, LangGraph), and autonomous AI agents.

● RAG & OCR Pipelines: Design and deploy advanced RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures and document processing pipelines utilizing OCR techniques (e.g., LayoutLM, PaddleOCR, Tesseract, Vision LLMs) to extract structured data from unstructured sources.

● Backend Systems: Build robust, asynchronous, high-throughput microservices and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.

● Frontend Integration: Colaborate on or build modern web interfaces using React (e.g., Control Towers, operations dashboards, interactive chat interfaces).

● MLOps & Vector DBs: Oversee model deployment, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, vector database integration (Pinecone, Qdrant, Chroma, PGVector), and cloud infrastructure setup (Azure/AWS).

Required Qualifications & Skills

● Overall Experience: 8 to 10 years of professional software engineering experience.

● AI/ML Domain Experience: 3 to 4+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML, OCR, and Generative AI solutions in production.

● Core Technical Stack: ○ Generative AI & LLMs: Extensive experience with commercial and open-source LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Llama), Agentic frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI), and LLM evaluation frameworks (LangSmith, TruLens, Ragas). ○ RAG & Unstructured Data: Strong knowledge of hybrid search, re-ranking, chunking strategies, vector databases, and document inte ligence workflows. ○ OCR & Vision Techniques: Hands-on experience with OCR engines (Tesseract, PaddleOCR, Azure Document Inteligence) and Multi-Modal/Vision LLMs for document extraction. ○ Backend: Deep expertise in Python and asynchronous frameworks (FastAPI, AsyncIO). ○ Frontend: Working proficiency in React (TypeScript/JavaScript) for building interactive web UI components. ○ Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Lead who can own backend engineering, DevOps, and delivery management.

This is not a coordination-only role. You will contribute technically while establishing the processes, accountability, and

operating rhythm needed for predictable delivery. You will manage multiple engineers and effectively use AI coding

agents and automation tools to improve the team's output without compromising quality.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable incorporating AI into the software-development lifecycle. This includes:

• Running multiple human and agent-led workstreams concurrently.

• Providing agents with clear context, constraints, and acceptance criteria.

• Reviewing generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and architectural fit.

• Using automation to accelerate testing, documentation, refactoring, and operational workflows.

• Measuring whether AI tooling produces genuine delivery improvements.

We do not expect blind reliance on generated output. The Engineering Lead remains accountable for the quality and

correctness of everything shipped by the team.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Write, review and merge production code across Vue.js frontend and Node.js backend
2. Own code quality for the India team — set review standards and refactor technical debt
3. Debug across the full stack — from Vue rendering issues to Mongo aggregations to Kubernetes pod issues
4. Guide the team on day-to-day development decisions and step in on unsolved problems
5. Design solutions for new modules from spec to schema to API contract to implementation
6. Own MongoDB data modelling decisions — document structure, embedding vs referencing, index strategy
7. Review Node.js service design: API structure, error handling, validation, authentication, rate limiting, background processing
8. Make and document build-vs-buy calls on third-party services with cost and integration effort
9. Ensure the platform stays stable and performant on a live, revenue-generating system
10. Demonstrate daily working use of AI coding tools and spec-driven development practice
11. Judge AI output quality and know when tasks should not be handed to agents
12. Set up and maintain repo-level context files and make the team's AI setup consistent
