Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview: We are looking for a senior developer who must be capable of building services using modern microservices architecture with NodeJS & serverless frameworks. Should have strong knowledge of ObjectOriented Concepts, and Node. Js frameworks like loopback, RDBMS, and microservice patterns. The candidate should be comfortable with application coding based on design and specifications, and also be comfortable working with JSON and RESTful services. The candidate must be a top-notch developer committed to keeping learning new things and becoming an integral part of and fostering growth within our development team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining the backend systems that support the application
• Designing and implementing APIs and Microservices architecture to handle the application workload
• Developing and optimizing queries for RDBMS (MySQL) to manage data and ensure performance and scalability
• Managing and deploying the application on AWS using Lambda, ECS and other related services
• Collaborating with front-end developers to ensure smooth communication between front-end and back-end systems and back-end systems
• Writing clean, neat and reusable code that follows coding standards and best practices.
• Participating in code reviews and ensuring that coding standards are maintained
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues that arise in production environments
• Optimizing the application for performance, scalability, and security
• Continuously learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in software development
• Documenting technical specifications, processes, and system design

Responsibilities :

• Lead the development of the backend systems for our client's first product.
• Build reliable, secure, and performant backend systems.
• Drive test coverage and continuous delivery automation within the team.
• Mentor and provide feedback to teammates.
• You should have a min of 8 years of software development experience and management.
• Can write code that is readable, maintainable, secure, and performant.
• Know the importance of tests and how to approach writing different types of tests, good intuition for REST API design
• Deep understanding of relational databases, transactions, entity-relationship modeling.
• Comfortable writing highly concurrent systems.
• Experienced in using profilers, tuning garbage collection, optimizing SQL queries.

🎬Job Description:

We are looking for an Engineering Leader with a focus on building maintainable and scalable applications. The Lead will be responsible for the design and development of Jodo’s fee payments platform and be owning one of the products/verticals. Leads will be closely working

with Product Managers and Founders to execute projects from ideation to completion. As a hands-on Team Lead, you will take ownership of services/systems and guide a team of

developers.

📈Key Responsibilities

● Own and drive the development of one or more of Jodo’s products

● Take the lead in the design and development of the backend platform

● Mentor a team of developers, promote collaboration and engagement, and promote practices that improve the developer experience

● Work closely with Product Managers and Founders to brainstorm requirements and prioritize

📃Requirements

● 6+ years of hands-on experience in application development

● 1+ years of leading a team

● Experience in working with distributed systems

● Proficient in building Microservices/RESTful APIs with any modern tech stack

● Working knowledge of relational and nonrelational databases

● Prior working knowledge of Python/Django is a big plus

● Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools

● Knowledge of AWS or any other Cloud Platform services

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

·         Candidate should be able to work independently with client and should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Work closely with experienced integration, frontend, or backend development teams

·         Contribute to estimation and scoping of projects

Required Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience

·         8 to 10 years of programming experience—preferably with Java 8+, and other tool support

·         5 years of Java # 6 experience

·         Should have experience in executing project independently.

·         Demonstrated ability of Design Patterns and to write efficient, reusable rest services and libraries

·         Experience with agile software development methodologies and software development best practices, pair programming and CI/CD
