The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven, and aggressive Business Development & Sales Professional to be a foundational member of our team. This role is a pure-hunter position, responsible for generating new business, establishing market presence, and driving revenue growth for our portfolio of IT products and advanced security solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Aggressive Prospecting & Lead Generation: Proactively identify, qualify, and target new business opportunities within various sectors, primarily through cold-calling, networking, industry events, and digital outreach.
• Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, meticulously tracking all activities and sales stages from initial contact to final closure.
• Strategic Engagement: Initiate and conduct high-level strategic meetings, articulating the value proposition of VJ Tech Consultancy's products and solutions, backed by the credibility of our ex-CIO/CISO leadership.
• Solution Selling: Understand client needs deeply to effectively map them to our IT and security offerings, developing and presenting tailored proposals that demonstrate clear ROI.
• Sales Execution: Negotiate terms, close deals, and achieve/exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Market Feedback: Serve as a critical link between the market and our leadership team, providing feedback on market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to help shape our offerings.

Primary Skills : 

● 2+ year of experience developing React Native / Android applications.

● Excellent command over React Native ecosystem, Android Native SDKs, and third-party

SDKs.

● Firm grasp of the JavaScript language and its nuances, including TypeScript, ES6+ syntax

and tooling.

● Good knowledge and application of algorithms and data structures with space and time

complexities

● Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code with unit tests.

● Familiarity with native build tools like Gradle (Android Studio, IntelliJ)

● Follow Industry Coding standards & be responsible for writing maintainable/

scalable/efficient code to solve business problems.

● Knowledge of object-oriented programming

React Native, Typescipt/JavaScript, Redux and optionally Android

Customer Support Executive Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the customer service process.
• Resolving customer complaints brought to your attention.
• Possessing excellent product knowledge to enhance customer support.
• Maintaining a pleasant working environment for your team.

Customer Support Executive Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Knowledge of mediation and conflict resolution techniques is preferable.
• Fluent in English

About the role: 

You’ll be an early engineer in a newly formed engineering team. This is a unique opportunity for you to learn, build, demonstrate, and subsequently own diverse components of our tech stack and evolve as we scale our business. As a core engineer in a small team, the role demands a high degree of self-drive and ownership, on a path to achieving outsized impact.

Your Primary Responsibility Will Be:

To Advance Our Integrated Data Capture And Insights Platform (Ruby/React/PostgreSQL) And Associated Tooling (Python)

Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

• Work with a diverse multidisciplinary team across Engineering, Product & Operations, to translate product specs into clean, functional, production-ready code.
• Participate actively in defining of the systems architecture vision to better support our team’s needs
• Grow our technical capacity by mentoring other engineers and interviewing candidates
• Collaborate with team members to identify systems, practices & technologies that suit our needs the best
• Seek, learn, adopt and advocate industry best practices. Contribute towards the engineering culture
• Troubleshooting coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace

Minimum Qualification:

• At least 4+ years of experience in software engineering building SaaS platforms, products and APIs
• At least 1+ years in your current role as a senior engineer
• Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails (primary) and Python (additional)
• Strong proficiency in data modelling, RDBMS (Postgres preferred) and NoSQL databases.
• Proficient in software design, modularity, testability and software quality
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Additional desired qualifications:

• Preferred prior experience in the following stack: Python, Ruby On Rails, React, Postgres, AWS
• Experience in working on natural language processing, and ML for text and audio.
• Fast self-learner, with aptitude and interest in learn new technologies, languages & frameworks
• Experience working on data-pipelines, and data transformation systems.
• Experience setting up, managing and ensuring best practices on public clouds like AWS, GCP, or Azure (we use AWS)

Compensation: 60 Decibels offers a competitive salary and benefits package and the opportunity to work in a flexible, fun and supportive environment. The salary range will be adjusted according to costs of living in our country offices.

Responsibilities

· Developing user-facing applications using Vue.js

· Building modular and reusable components and libraries

· Optimizing your application for performance

· Implementing automated testing integrated into development and maintenance workflows

· Staying up to date with all recent developments in the JavaScript and Vue.js space

· Keeping an eye on security updates and issues found with Vue.js and all project dependencies

· Proposing any upgrades and updates necessary for keeping up with modern security and development best practices

What we need in you?

· Highly proficient with the JavaScript language and its modern ES6+ syntax and features

· Highly proficient with Vue.js framework and its core principles such as components, reactivity, and the virtual DOM

· Familiarity with the Vue.js ecosystem, including Vue CLI, Vuex, Vue Router, and Nuxt.js

· Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3, including

· Understanding of server-side rendering and its benefits and use cases

· Knowledge of functional programming and object-oriented programming paradigms

· Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean JavaScript code

· Familiarity with automated JavaScript testing, specifically testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha

· Proficiency with modern development tools, like Babel, Webpack, and Git

· Experience with both consuming and designing RESTful APIs

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with the Tech/Team Lead, and the rest of the engineering team to build and scale a data-driven platform.

This role will act as a great springboard to accelerate career growth & transition into a Lead level role.

Your primary focus will be the development of server-side logic, building new services and APIs, developing UI components, supporting the maintenance of current APIs, reviewing work, and improving the performance and reliability of our systems as we rapidly scale our product and organization

• An effective Senior Software Engineer will be a self-motivated learner; a highly creative engineer having obsessive attention towards detail and thoroughness.
• You’ve been building web applications professionally for 4+ years
• You’re proficient in NodeJS, TypeScript, MySQL, and MongoDB
• You possess strong OOP and design pattern knowledge
• Familiar with modern engineering practices: Code Reviews, Continuous Deployment, Automated Testing, etc
• You write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability and experience with TDD (Test Driven Development)
• You’ve got the ability to build RESTful APIs
• Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support team, and fellow engineers is not a problem for you
• Well versed with the fundamentals of computer science and distributed systems
• FrontEnd experience; (Good to have) Angular
• Startup experience, preferably a tech startup
• Open Source contributor
• You have experience with other programming languages -- e.g. Python, Ruby, PHP, Go, C, etc.
• Passionate about/experienced with open source and developer tools
