Senior Software Engineer

What you’ll do

• Build and scale backend services and APIs using Python
• Work on cross-language integrations (Python ↔ PHP)
• Develop frontend features using React (Angular is a plus)
• Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on AWS
• Own features end-to-end: development, performance, and reliability
• Collaborate closely with product, QA, and engineering teams

Experience

• 
  
• 5–10 years of professional software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Python
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on AWS
• Working knowledge of modern frontend frameworks

Key Responsibilities:

1. Be part of the team responsible for the enterprise grade SAAS platform.

2. Own end-to-end design and development of Product Features.

3. Design and implement software for testability, maintainability, scalability, supportability.

4. Troubleshoot and support field issues, microservices monitoring.

5. Hands-on working on SAAS based applications.

6. Experience with working on scalable, highly available distributed systems.

7. Robust understanding of Agile development along with CI/CD pipeline.

8. Solid understanding of software development Life Cycle.

9. Solid understanding of end to end Application Security and incorporating the same during development.

10. Exposure to micro-services architecture and microservices development frameworks, platform based architecture.

11. Experience in AWS/Azure.

12. Experience in Dockers, and Kubernetes. ECS, EKS, AKS etc

13. Experience with RDBMS such as Postgres(Preferred), MySQL and nosql databases(Desired).

14. Experience in languages such as Python(Preferred), Java.

15. Exposure to development of data platforms for analytics, reporting etc.

16. Exposure to the development of IOT applications is a plus.

Other requirements

1. Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue.js(preferred), ReactJS

2. Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design techniques, and front-end performance optimization.

3. Exposure to the development of API-driven Single Page Applications

4. Exposure to AWS Cloudfront, Akamai etc.

5. Experience in Application monitoring and log management tools.

About the Role:

As a part of the Tech team, you will be involved in solving technical challenges, working with modern databases and systems, design and architecture of components/services, and handling highly critical secure data.

Responsibilities:

• You’ll be working on our P2P and cryptocurrency exchange platforms to build more features around it.
• Understand the way current users interact with the chatbot and how to optimize the existing content.
• WazirX being a financial product, you’ll be involved in building tools to make our user’s data more secure.
• You will be working on blockchain technologies
• You will help maintain code quality and organization.
• We expect you to learn about new software technologies, and proactively look for ways to make WazirX better.

• Develop and Integrate Django backend and API's with frontend framework.
• Develop Angular applications

• Good experience developing Angular applications into production
• Good experience with the Django REST framework
• Strong understanding of the Angular framework as well as javascript, jQuery and HTML/CSS
• Good experience on designing and structuring of database most likely ORM (i.e MongoDB)
• Knowledge of how to build and use with RESTful APIs
• Good experience of Python coding skills
• Strong knowledge of version control (i.e. git, svn, etc.)
• Experience deploying Python applications into production

• Writing efficient, reusable, testable, and scalable code
• Understanding, analyzing, and implementing – Business needs, feature modification requests, conversion into software components
• Integration of user-oriented elements into different applications, data storage solutions
• Developing – Backend components to enhance performance and receptiveness, server-side logic, and platform, statistical learning models, highly responsive web applications
• Designing and implementing – High availability and low latency applications, data protection and security features
• Performance tuning and automation of application
• Working with Python libraries like Pandas, NumPy, etc.
• Creating predictive models for AI and ML-based features
• Keeping abreast with the latest technology and trends
• Fine-tune and develop AI/ML-based algorithms based on results
