Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, and APIs using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript.
• Build and optimize REST APIs and integrate with third-party services.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of WordPress applications.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress-related technical issues.
• Stay updated on WordPress and web technology trends.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in PHP and WordPress development.
• Strong expertise in custom theme and plugin development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Solid experience with MySQL and database optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Git and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of WordPress security best practices, SEO, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) is a plus.
• Experience with multisite or headless WordPress is an advantage.
• Experience with Laravel, Symfony, Yii, and other PHP-based frameworks is a plus.

Nice to have 

• Cloudflare Workers (Wrangler, KV/R2, Durable Objects) 
• Salesforce OAuth/API experience; HubSpot Forms event hooks; middleware patterns. 
• AWS basic understanding 
• Cloudflare basic understanding 
• Uptime/transaction monitoring via Checkly or other automated systems. 
• Entry-level DevOps/networking understanding: HTTP/TLS, CORS, DNS, proxies, caching, request/response debugging (HAR). 

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.), but equivalent work experience in a technology-related area may substitute.
• Proven track record in building and maintaining large-scale WordPress platforms.

Overview

We are looking for Python developers with a strong understanding of object orientation and experience in web and backend development. Experience with Analytical algorithms and mathematical calculations using libraries such as Numpy and Pandas are a must. Experience in some form of Machine Learning. We require candidates who have working experience using Django Framework

Key Skills required (Items in Bold are mandatory keywords) :

1. Proficiency in Python 3.x based web and backend development
2. Solid understanding of Python concepts
3. Experience with some form of Machine Learning (ML)
4. Experience in using libraries such as Numpy and Pandas
5. Some form of experience with NLP and Deep Learning using any of Pytorch, Tensorflow, Keras, Scikit-learn or similar
6. Hands on experience with RDBMS such as Postgres or MySQL
7. Experience building REST APIs using DRF or Flask
8. Comfort with Git repositories, branching and deployment using Git
9. Working experience with Docker
10. Basic working knowledge of ReactJs
11. Experience in deploying Django applications to AWS,Digital Ocean or Heroku

3. Setting up batch task processing environments using Celery
4. Unit testing prepared modules
5. Bug fixing issues as reported by the QA team
6. Optimization and performance tuning of code

MUST HAVES:

• #java11, Java 17 & above only
• #springboot #microservices experience is must
• #cloud experience is must (AWS or GCP or Azure)
• Strong understanding of #functionalprogramming and #reactiveprogramming concepts.
• Experience with asynchronous programming and async frameworks/libraries.
• Proficiency in #sql databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• WFO in NOIDA only.

Other requirements:

• Knowledge of socket programming and real-time communication protocols.
• Experience of building complex enterprise grade applications with multiple components and integrations
• Good coding practices and ability to design solutions
• Good communication skills
• Ability to mentor team and give technical guidance
• #fullstack skills with anyone of #javascript or #reactjs or #angularjs is preferable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Preferred experience with #nosql databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc.).

• Python knowledge: object-oriented programming: inheritance, abstract classes, dataclass, dependency injection, design patterns: comand-query, repository, adapter, hexagonal architecture, swagger/Open API, flask, connexion
• Experience on AWS services: lambda, ecs, sqs, s3, dynamodb, auroradb
• Experience with following libraries boto3, behave, pytest, moto, localstack, docker
• Basic knowledge about terraform, gitlab ci
• Experience with SQL DB
