About the Role

We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer with hands-on expertise in Laravel or Symfony (preferably Symfony), who can contribute to full-cycle project development. You will be responsible for building robust backend solutions and integrating with multiple services while following best practices of object-oriented design and RESTful architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using PHP frameworks (Laravel/Symfony)
• Collaborate with product managers and business analysts to understand requirements
• Create scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using MVC architecture
• Implement and maintain microservice-based architecture
• Integrate third-party APIs, libraries, and services
• Work with relational databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL using ORM tools such as Doctrine or Eloquent
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and overall software development lifecycle
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide long-term solutions

Required Skills:

• Strong programming knowledge in PHP with at least 2 years of experience
• Hands-on experience in Symfony or Laravel (Symfony preferred)
• Solid understanding of OOP and MVC design pattern
• Strong experience in creating and consuming REST APIs
• Experience working in service-based architectures or microservices
• Familiarity with Doctrine or Eloquent ORM
• Proficiency in MySQL/PostgreSQL

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with cloud services such as Lambda, S3, and RDS
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)

• PHP / Laravel developer duties and responsibilities

• Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications on portal plus premium service platforms

• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team

• Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications

• Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools

• Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API

• In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 5 PHP Framework

• Hands on experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles, REST API design

• MySQL profiling and query optimization

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join our Technology team. You will be responsible for the server-side of our web applications. You’ll be working closely with our engineers to ensure system consistency and improve user experience.

You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

Skills and Expertise

• Strong experience with backend technologies (PHP / Laravel framework)
• Deep understanding of REST API design and WebSockets
• Confident handling of Git, IntelliJ/Eclipse, Docker and/or Kubernetes, Maven, Jenkins or comparable tools
• You have knowledge in the development of a micro service architecture with modern technologies
• Apply software best practices such as CI/CD, TDD and clean code principles
• Eager to learn new technologies and concepts and aspiration to constantly improve yourself
• Experience in working with APIs, both third-party and custom written
• Good understanding of applications building and debugging with reusability and modularity in mind

• Previous working experience as a PHP Developer for 3 years
• BS/MS  in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar relevant field
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
• Proficient in PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery Expert
• Experience with PHP MVC frameworks (Symfony)

Qualifications:

- B.Sc/B.Tech in Computer Science or a related field.

- Strong coding, data structures and algorithms.

- 1+ year experience in PHP (Laravel).

- Experience or keen interest to take ownership of code deployment in Linux based servers, Docker, Jenkins.

- Hands-on experience with relational databases like MySQL, Postgres.

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop software for given requirements.

- Involvement in the full software development lifecycle within broadly defined parameters and providing software solutions keeping into consideration the software quality needs.

- Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimisation and functionality.

- Communicate cross-functionally, collaborate with business teams, engineers to plan, own and deliver solutions on time.
