NodeJS Developer

What you'll do:

·         Perform complex application programming activities with an emphasis on mobile development:  Angular, Node, TypeScript, JavaScript, Apache Cordova, RESTful APIs and more

·         Assist in the definition of system architecture and detailed solution design that are scalable and extensible

·         Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and other engineers on different permutations to find the best solution possible

·         Own the quality of code and do your own testing. Automate feature testing and contribute UI testing framework

·         Become a subject matter expert for our mobile applications

·         Deliver amazing solutions to production that knock everyone’s socks off

·         Mentor junior developers on the team

Basic Qualifications: 

·         Minimum B.S. / M.S. Computer Science or related discipline from accredited college or University

·         At least 6 years of experience designing, developing, and delivering web applications with Angular, Node, Typescript, IONIC and JavaScript

·         At least 2 years of experience building iOS-based applications utilizing hybrid technologies

·         At least 2 years of experience with AWS and/or Openshift

·         Experience integrating with native device API’s (iOS)

·         Experience with front-end and/or mobile-specific testing frameworks

·         Strong experience in object-oriented design and development

·         Knowledge of building and consuming RESTful APIs

·         Excellent sense of web design, passionate about creating and refining great mobile user experiences.

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks and consistently meet established timelines   

·         Strong collaboration skills

·         Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Proficient with Apache Cordova framework

·         Built or maintained custom Cordova plugin

• Demonstrable knowledge of native coding background in iOS

·         Understanding of Apple certificate and profile management

·         Experience developing and deploying applications within Kubernetes based containers

·         Experience in Agile and SCRUM development techniques

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, designers, and system administrators to develop robust and scalable server-side applications.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs and services using Node.js, ensuring efficient data handling and integration.

- Develop database schemas and models for MongoDB, optimizing queries and ensuring data integrity.

- Implement data migration and transformation tasks between different data sources.

- Write efficient and reusable code, following best practices and coding standards.

- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to identify and fix issues promptly.

- Collaborate with DevOps team to deploy applications on servers or cloud platforms.

- Continuously monitor application performance and optimize it for scalability and reliability.

- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, actively suggesting improvements and innovative solutions.

Requirements:

- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript.

- Solid understanding of server-side development and asynchronous programming concepts.

- Experience working with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).

- Knowledge of database design and query optimization techniques.

- Familiarity with web application security principles and best practices.

- Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Good understanding of agile development methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

BE / B-Tech degree and 2+ years of work experience, or ME / MS degree and 2+  years of work experience, in Computer Science.

• Strong programming skills in Python/Django
• Experience with Angular, JavaScript frameworks/libraries
• Hands on experience with MySQL, PostGreSQL or other RDBMS
• Experience with Web application security and Secure coding practices
• Strong Analytical thinking and problem solving ability
• Familiarity with software collaboration tools – GIT

• Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong knowledge of Core PHP, Shopify, Magento.
• Good knowledge of any PHP framework ( CodeIgniter and CakePHP )
• Hands-on experience one PHP framework
• Good analytical & communication skills.
• Must be proficient in PHP, MySQL, CSS, HTML, Javascript, AJAX, XML
• Should have excellent written communication skills (English)
• Must have the capacity to work independently and also as a part of a team
• Must have dedication and commitment towards work.

Key Skills

• In depth knowledge of Node.js
• Knowledge of integration with front-end JavaScript libraries and frameworks like react js
• Should be experienced with Micro-services.
• Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB
• Working experience of Git preferably bitbucket.
• Good knowledge of CI/CD preferably using bitbucket pipelines and Jenkins.
